When Gladion's theme started, a bit of the hot pocket I was eating dropped onto my hand and burned it, causing me to do the Gladion hand thing, whatever it's called

I legitimately cry whenever I hear Wally’s theme, because he gains confidence and this song represents that. Plus he uses a Gallade and that’s my main mon
I grinded the f out of super training to get my own Dawn Stone, so I went most of the game with a Gallade and a Gardevoir on my team.
When Wally's Gallade came out, I was down to just my own Gallade. His Gallade would always be faster...

I think Game Freak started to feel they don’t want to lose Wally’s theme that bad and left it alone and being forgotten, so, you know already, THEY MADE PENNY’S THEME in Gen 9. Even though they aren’t having the same characterisation.

Bianca and Cheren sounding playful works since they are the only rivals aside from Barry who are genuine childhood friends of the player character. Barry's is also playful in that way, there's no edge to the theme since you all already know each other well. However, others do just sound better/are more fun to listen to lol
The theme works early on, but I feel like it should change after a certain point, signifying their growth.
Imma sound really biased here, but gen 5 carries so much nostalgia for me that I love all the rival themes the most so they would be my S tiers 😂😂 cause they just slap for me 😂

Unova region literally have the best music of all Pokemon games in general, from wild pokemon to champion, its all awesome
I love Gladion's and Bede's theme the most. The composition and instrument choice for the both of them are top notch

One fun one might be a tier list of the black/white 2 gym themes, as bw2 is the only game where the gyms themselves have their own distinct themes.

Bede's theme slaps and its amazing. For me, the Galar rival themes are Bede 1st, Hop 2nd and Marnie 3rd
My favorite Rival theme isn't even from the games, it's from the Origins Anime. Blue's encounter theme in that series is the best 💙

What sets N’s theme and Gladion’s theme apart from the rest is that story wise and a musically they feel like more than just a rival battle

They completely redid and extended wallys theme in pokemon masters EX and its my favorite battle theme in the series
As much as I enjoy the Rival Themes throughout the series (OR/AS Wally in particular), N’s theme is on another level for me. Particularly when it comes to The Decisive Battle for Unova. It’s literally a battle of destiny, with the highest stakes. I would LOVE to know if someone has done an orchestral version of this theme, possibly with a choir.
EDIT: Speaking of the best music from Gen. 5 (in my opinion), have you reacted to one or both versions of Ghetsis’ theme? I personally prefer the B/W one over B2/W2, but they’re both the epitome of sinister.
OK this is gonna sound a bit strange but I feel like the twist and turns in silvers kind of reflect how he isn't truly evil, just cause his dad is hes kinda conflicted almost, if that makes any sense 😂😂😂

I can understand Wally being in B. When it first starts you’re taken aback, but unfortunately it also fizzles for me too.
I will absolutely let my bias blind me when it comes to N's theme, especially when the composer goes out of their way to put every aspect of his character into musical form. Look it up if you haven't, there's some real interesting things going on in that theme
Despite the crap x and y got the music is really good. The remixed Kanto music and gym theme was really good. I really hope when the game gets remade it gets a lot harder.
N's b/w final theme and gladion's theme are my favorite ♥️

For the gen 8 trios rival themes, my personal take is Bede>Marnie>Hop. Both Bede and Marnie are just top tier aaaaa. Hops regular ones meh.

As a person, that started playing with x and y and has never played b/w/b2/w2 i really dont like the gen 5 songs that much (subjektivly), i mean yeah they are not bad but like, there are way better rival themes, at least for me, but who am i to decide, was still a fun experience watching
If I had to pick. Silver, N, Hugh, Gladeon and Marnie would be my top 5 tracks for S rank

Only really one major disagreement. There’s no way on this fuckin planet that Hau’s Is a C tier theme. Not only is it perfect for his character, it’s just such a bop man. A theme that just makes me smile when I hear it. And, it sets up his champion theme later on too which is one of the best champion themes.
Other than that, fair rankings 👍
Why didn't you use the Let's go versions of gen 1? They sound so much better.
Gen 6 rival theme is decent, gets too much hate at times. But also isn't anything impressive. Kinda like gen 6. SHOTS FIRED. LETS GOOOOO
Well first off, you're not using Green's actual theme. The champion theme IS his. Also, N's final theme goes harder than everything in this list and you didn't even include it. Also, why is N in rivals when he's the main villain of Black/White?

Green is going into B. Just solid middle of the road good. Silver is above green in B. Yuki/Haruka is below silver, Mitsuru is S, Jun is C, Cheren/bel above Y/H, N is right behind silver, Hyu is A below hau, XY is above cheren/bel, Hau is above Hyu, Glazio is the best rival theme in the series. S tier for also coincidentally the best rival in the series, although not so much a rival, just a friend who is on a mission for the sake of his family. Hop is below Hyu in A tier, Mary is S tier behind Mitsuru, beet is right below XY.

No, I completely agree on Wally. It starts off as insanely badass. But just like his character, it doesn't last at all and loses its edge in a short loop. You can listen to his theme twice, before finishing some of the good bits of the others. - this is mid watch.
Original gen 3 imo is way better than the remake, but then again the nostalgia factor defenetly present within this oppinion. Easy S tier for me.
Gen 5 at the start made me think more of Mario party kinda music.

But quite true even though I’m also vote for disagree with you, because N’s theme *was* supposed to be sound not so important, especially at your first ever surprise battle between you and N in Accumula Town. Because you don’t even know him, and him saying random things like your Pokémon saying things and stuffs. And just get going away from you every time, then meet you at a random place again to battle you and follow you everywhere you go, like a bit annoying. BUT, but, you will find it more and more interesting when you starting to hear N’s stories along your way to the champion league with him following you (or he’s ahead of you already😅), especially in Ninbasa City fun fair is the moment you know N is the king of Team Plasma. And *THAT’S* the moment you find his battle theme interestingly making more sense and intense.
Basically I’m typing this a lot above to you is to try to convince you that N is NOT a bad character. N is mysterious. N is cool.
HGSS and B2W2 were the peak of Pokemon Ost. Pokemon fell off hard after that, especially Gen 6 and 9.
