    I've gone through periods of time where I thought I would quit writing, that it wasn't for me. But I never could stop completely. I would always go back.
    One thing that helps me is setting my own deadlines for things. I don't set word count goals because then a lot ends up being filler. Instead I set goals for when I want to finish a draft. And my drafts tend to be short and then expand with revisions, they are more the bones of the story and not the meat.
    For me, I also enjoy writing most when I'm writing something that I want to read and things that I haven't been able to find from other writers.

      Last year I defintely wrote lots of filler because I felt so desperate to reach the word count so am really trying to avoid it this time around so deadlines as a goal instead of word counts sounds like a great idea!
