"Special" is a word that seems too often and too loosely used these days in racing, but in the case of Enable, it's an understatement! A 3YO filly just doesn't reel off 5 consecutive Group 1 wins in the Investec Oaks, Irish Oaks, King George, Yorkshire Oaks, and the Arc unless her makeup is from a shelf even higher than the top shelf. And the authority she won all 5 of these races with can't or shouldn't be understated either. In my opinion, this is the strongest run of races at group 1 level we've seen from a 3YO, colt or filly, since 2009 when Sea The Stars ran off his 6 consecutive G1 wins in the English 2000 Guineas, Investec Derby, Coral-Eclipse, Juddmonte International, Irish Champion Stakes, and the Arc. This is something I don't expect to see happen again in whatever time is left of my lifetime.
It was indeed an amazing performance and out of the top drawer and for a 3YO filly for certain the best in a long long time. , however not sure if it gets any where near Frankel run of group ones and his rating of 135 at the end of his 3YO carrer and his eventual rise to 147 at the end of his racing life, a figure I suspect we will not see the like of again
