Pretty great guide! Just wanted to highlight a setup that i've seen going around but wasn't mentioned in the video.
From a 2D knockdown (so 5K into 2D, 2K into 2D, etc.), you can do OTG 5H into P dandy, and it actually lets you auto-time (should be auto-time at least, i had cases where i had to manually time it but it shouldn't be too hard) a meaty with the high/low followups from it, and if you want to bait a reversal with a hard read, empty dandy step leaves you at +1 so you can just block it (also allows you to call out fuzzy jump or backdashes with C.S).
As courtesy it also auto-times bite meaty cuz why wouldn't it lmfao.
The person who came up with this setup also said that empty P dandy leaves you outside of throw range for any character except big body characters (cuz privileged throw range) but i couldn't find a way to get this consistently so use it at your own peril.
Haven't really tried it in a real match but i'm sure that if you condition them to stop mashing you can also sneak up a master's hammer from this sequence and see what happens.
Is it less safe than the usual C.S OTG into safejump? Yeah probably
Is it better? It depends but i'd say you have more options to pick from 5H OTG than C.S OTG so play around them based on your resources (If you have a lot of HP and meter, 5H OTG is pretty appealing, if you don't want to take risks, go for the safe option).
Practicing this setup for a bit should allow you to consistently pull it off after a couple of minutes, and it's a really powerful tool in real matches when you start implementing BSU to make your high/lows even more scary, think it's worth checking out.
The 100 meter super is actually pretty useful for securing rounds after positive bonus because Slayer just builds *so* much meter, but it definitely is best used early in a combo before heavy RISCloss kicks in.
I got obliterated by a Slayer as Gio yesterday, the damage and that round start, that wasn't fun man :(
Great video, one small sequencing error, I feel. In the set-up for strike/throw from Kmappa, the throw mentioned is FDC Bite, which to this point in the video you've not yet mentioned as a thing nor a segue to an explanation of this technique.
21:52: I would add that while back air jump works against several Dandy Step options, it will be really bad against It's Late (Dandy Step Overhead) as the move has a large vertical hitbox and puts you in aerial guard crush similar to blocking Behemoth Typhoon in the air.
I think the best response is to try to gauge when the opponent likes to cancel into Dandy Step in the blockstring (after 2S, 2H, 5H, 6H, etc.) then if it's P Dandy Step, mash out, and if it's K Dandy Step, use a long range normal like 5K, 2S, etc. to check Slayer before the follow up comes out. Easier said than done!
Could use the anti air 6p early mappa hunch to escape corner or when you’re close to it

It's more ideal to end in a 6 for the dash command grab. You can do a blockstring of c.S f.S command grab but only with the 6 after the command grab input 29:28
I need to post my PB loops. You can get them off every dandy follow up after RC as well as command grab RC to PB loops. Still exploring.

10:13 after pile bunker im pretty sure you can get a safe jump with IAD jHS or get a 50/50 with IAD jS
If you wanna go for the 50/50 you can cancel your jS to jD for an extra overhead or cancel it into jHS for a command grab

Just want to say: you can do the dash cancel bite on controller. It takes A LOT of practice, but it's possible. My dash button is Left Trigger.
Same - input motion of bite
When at the end of the motion, input both dash and HS, like a plink
Then hold up (on the side, 6-7 on analog stick)

Most of Slayer's dash cancel tech is easier with plinking
Slow is right on the backdash. I was backdashing some close slashes and then getting CH by the other when i go for hand of doom
@17:40 You're +4 after f.S, so 5K trades with 3 frames and beats everything else. Pretty safe way to continue the pressure and convert into a knockdown if they're mashing
Definitely going to be trying to dash block k mappa hunch as Gio.
Master hammer's hitbox is so small and takes so long to come out, I can usually just neutral jump jHS into full combo afterwards
More chunky knowledge, Counterhits are 10% extra damage, but Universe is a 30% damage buff.
Late af, but dash canceling on pad is actually ez af. It's literally 236[dash macro]9 P (for mappa). If your dash is set to r2, you can do this 100% of the time in less than 5 minutes
31:00 doing the dash cancel isn’t too hard on dpad. You just have to do a forward input before the command input. (For bite it would look like 6632147H and for mappa it would be 62369K) still tight but it makes it easier at least for me

Hi guys, I'm quite new at this game, and my friend spams this character on me because I don't know how to deal with him... I'm very much enjoying Testament, is there any advice to beat him as Testament or do I need to play someone else??
PMappa can also deal high damage on CH. In midscreen you can do 2K into K Mappa. In the corner you can do 5p, 6h, bunker wallsplat.
I can't stop thinking that backdash+6S should have start up invencibility or something like that to work sort like a parry/counter which would allow you to bypass the opponent attack and gain frame advantage to hit it back during it's attack...move is pretty useless most of the time
Or it could at least be safe on block I dunno...
At least it can wall bounces, which is cool and opens up for other crazy wall combos
how do you make that first combo you showed connect they are still on the ground when you do the power bunker and cant they just block the power bunker on wake up?

A combo that is really easy and you can get easily and goes full screen + wall break is
c.S -> f.S -> c.S - f.S -> WA -> repeat loop -> RC -> 236K. P -> 6H/SMP/LH
The loop requires a little bit of timing you cant just mash it out but its easy.
