You can just re-flash the CM 10.2 rom to fix it as well, you don't need to flash back to stock to get rid of the tablet UI.
Excellent instructions. I overcame the Android keyboard not working by pairing the CM 11.1 zip with the gapps-4.4 file.
One more thing don't install the tablet UI, you will hate it. Only way to set it back is to install stock firmware and upgrading to latest ver. I do hope Samsung adds this tablet to 4.3 upgrade, but It's not looking good. 4.2.2 is a great upgrade. Enjoy it. Thank you DC for making these videos I did learn a lot from them. I have root and latest CWM just in case something better comes along. Happy hacking...

Hey thanks for the help I really appreciate it. Only thing that I came up across which was not your fault was the Tablet UI. Some icons on the home screen gets pushed over the edge and can only be accessed or moved in landscape mode. Not a big bother but I got used to it. Again, thanks for the detailed vid man!

The appeal of the IR blaster is that you can turn on/control projectors, TV's, air conditioners and cable boxes in school, at home, in restaurants and other public places. This is purely for ones entertainment, the majority of the time.
I followed the steps exactly but every time try to launch an app it starts showing me the CM animation with circle around it (just like boot time) and sometimes it would launch the app sometimes it won't do anything.
I installed CM and hated it! Most features were not install or just broken. Not sure if the new kernel made it faster or that 10.2 was just a stripped down version. 4.3 was riding on an old ICS skin, really? And that link to download 4.1 firmware did not work after I reg and tried 1000 times to log in, that never did just to DL file. I Finley found 4.0 ICS and ran that firmware just to have to update to 4.1 than to 4.2 All and all don't waist your time. invested many hours. I love the root video

yes you will. Just save them on your computer of an external sd or flash drive

All went well, including the update to Clockwork Recovery 6.0.3.7. But when I finally rebooted into Cyanogen Mod, and after I set up my Google account, my Tab began to reboot about every 30 seconds, no matter what app I am in, and no matter if wifi or bluetooth is on or not. I see a little blue spinning circle at the top right of the screen, and it reboots after 30 seconds.
What can I do?

With your rooting method is there a rooting for the 4.2.2 update already? Most of us got that update and the rooting for the 4.1.1 is not working. If you find one could you do a video for it? With the 4.2.2 update the tablet is very slow and laggy. I want to install this rom here but I need the proper rooting for it.

Couple of questions. Does this ver of cm10.2 fix the Bluetooth fiasco from Google. Are BT keyboards and controllers allowed to work again?

Please add the model number. You cannot but cyanogenmod on the i705 Verizon verison.
Do you need to download the tablet UI? I prefer to use my tablet in portrait than landscape, but my devise can already be used in landscape mode.@DroidsCheats

Someone pleeeaaassseee help. I tried to install CyanogenMod on my tab 2 but it says there is an error. I have done everything I can (Factory reset, etc) so I just decided to stay with the rom it came with but when I press reboot it says the Samsung thing and then it goes black and says it again and then it just goes back to the ClockWorkMod menu. Please help someone I've had the tab for ages and I miss all my stuff on it. PLEASE

It looks like your device is stuck in a boot loop (The device just boots over and over). The only solution I can think of to fix this is to make or buy something called a jig, they are only 2 or 3 dollars to buy or make. Basically what they do is when you put your device into download mode the jig will re-download Android onto it, it will be the same way as when you bought it. Side note: You can put your device into download mode by holding the volume down button and the power button at the same time until the device turns on. hello!!! i want to flash cm 10.2 or cm 11 in my tab 2 . but confused between the models samsung galaxy tab 2 gtp3100 and galaxy tab 2 7.0 gtp3100, the hardware and software are looking same . i am using samsung tab 2 gt-p3100 can i install cm 10.2 or cm11 in it ??

Praveen Vishwakarma you can flash 11 on it, but I have had to restart mine a lot because it just stops working or turns off
its work perfectly for me on p3100
The tablet ui is awful, honestly don't suggest having anyone install it. app icons go slightly off the screen on the edges, and go through the dock.

Followed your videos and my p3113 is rooted and ready to go. Recovery is installed and I have all the other files downloaded...except one. Could someone PLEASE give me a copy of the TalbletUI used for this ver of CM10.2? Or a working link? I have been searching the dev sites and googling this for days with no luck. Just need that file and I can flash CM 10.2 on my tablet. Thanks ! :)
