I have the 1025R and 60” mmm. Ideally, I’d like the option to mow with my 60” mmm regularly and have the duals as I do have some hills upwards of 20 degree slope. Do you know how much removing those rear deck wheels affects the cut quality? Has your buddy mentioned any issues with the cut quality of the mmm since removing those wheels? Appreciate any feedback!
Thanks for watching and your comment. I will have to ask him about the cut quality. Those are the anti scalp wheels so that might be an issue. You should be able to just remove the wheels since they are a replaceable part and mow that way and see if your cut quality is effected before permanently removing them to mount duals. Bill uses a 72” finish mower off the back but keeps the mmm deck to use as a step to help him get on and off easier. He is 82 and loves mowing and is very particular about his yard. Do you think if the front gauge wheels were removed as well, you could also install a dual front wheel kit and still turn full radius without impacting the mower deck?
Thanks for watching and your comment. That looks reasonable. I would absolutely put duals on the front if I can figure it out just because it would look beyond cool. I haven’t seen any set ups or ways to do that though yet. It looks like there might be some steering issues other than the deck also but it would be so worth it to get that figured out imo just from the cool factor. You should have installed a larger spacer between the wheels........so no need to cut the mower wheel...?
