well as far as i'm concerned, they should lighthen up the trucks they have. i have observe that there trucks are full of decorations that add plenty of weight on their trucks especially their dumptrucks. they increased the height of the dump box to increase their loading capacity which adds to the stress the axles experience and custom making a very large bumper in the front. i know it looks good and they really like that look, but those axles will keep on breaking unless they remove those additional weight. but thats just my suggestion. its really up to them if they want to follow it. great video though love it. just my observation
Bro they don't even look up at festivals and like 30 of them get zapped by power lines carrying their floats. They're not going to start weighing their loads. Or even understanding the consequences.
Looks like it FAILED before with an internal sleeve & weld. History will repeat itself again! Welding through dirt & rust, weld spatter on lathe ways. Work to NOT be proud of!! Yes we know...they are hard working men....at doing shoddy work!
It’s not good practice to weld over slag. The metal will lose a lot of its potential strength. Which was insufficient to start with since it broke. I would tell the truck owner to cut the loads by 50% if he wants to keep using the truck without weekly breakdowns.
