I had a lav mic setup on Mike's shirt going to a little recorder that's sitting next to him. You can see some of the wires. Then synced up the audio to the video via clap at the beginning since I was shooting from far away with a 600mm lens.
Definitely a live recording. There are birds, water, and wind in the sound. The audio is most likely recorded on a separate source right next to Mike, rather than a microphone from the camera taking the shot, and added to the video in post-production.
