When fate brings Peyton, an out lesbian writer into the life of Elena, a straight woman and wife of a pastor, friendship transforms swiftly from a crush into a torrid extramarital affair. Elena can barely begin to rationalize the nature and magnitude of her desires, which are complicated by her dedication to her son, Nash, and her sense of responsibility to her marriage. As their relationship evolves into love, Elena confronts the choice of leaving Barry and fracturing the family or ending it with Peyton and continuing to live a lie. But the decision may be moot. As Peyton risks more of her heart, her fear of breaking it causes her to step away and Elena faces the looming challenge of convincing Peyton that they were meant to be.

In my opinion one of the best movies ever! Even if the story is chlice. What it makes so special is really the chemistry between them. And especially T's presence. She is such an outstanding actress. I mean look at her face expressions. For me she made this movie!

I love how people are watching this in 2022. It’s an amazing film and it’s my absolute favourite. Elena undone helped me so much with my sexuality along with the L word which is my all time fav show, and I just couldn’t be more grateful. “i can’t think straight” has the perfect happy ending too. it’s beautifully made and i think i’ve watched it as many times i’ve watched elena undone. you’d love it.
if you want some romance AND some rly hot steamy scenes , ammonite is the film to watch! kate winslet and saoirse ronan get it the fuck onnnnn!! 🥵
some other good lesbian films/movies you could try : DEBS, below her mouth, summertime, blue is the warmest colour, bound, carol, chloe, the miseducation of cameron post, a perfect ending, loving annabelle, ravens touch, the firefly, girltrash all night long, benedetta, room in rome, better than chocolate, but i’m a cheerleader, with every heartbeat, the world to come, kill for me, lost and delirious, the world unseen.
^those are some good films you can try out, some with happy endings some with terrible sad ones that can break your heart in pieces, but if you haven’t yet watched “i can’t think straight” or “ammonite” prioritise them first!!

I love this movie I can watch it 100x time and still get mad at the break up part. I wish y'all made a second part to the movie. Where they get married and their kid growing up and then with nash his person show go to college, and see the freedom but plans an special event for his girlfriend, like an proposal. It just some ideas but I would live them act together in movie like this I love them ❤️💛

As I stated in my last comment, had I not seen more beautiful having been broken I wouldn't know about Nicole Conn & her ability to tell great stories in ways that are truthfully honest of human life. If being Honest I looked for more stories that also had black characters because I was tired of always seeing more stories that had more white women whether they be lesbian, Bisexual or straight, not saying that because it was white that the stories weren't or aren't great but because their are so many beautiful black gay, Bisexual actress out there not getting those roles or writers who only write for certain Races of females. So I would watch more international films that had more black or biracial actress in them including nobles movies. Sure there are shows that are now featuring more black actresses playing gay roles but not a movie story unless I mess some. But more beautiful, kind of made me realize no matter the race it about the story. So being a late follower of Nicole Conns I am now looking forward to seeing all her work no matter who's in it because she has the ability to bring out all of your Emotions in her Lesbian story telling & I mean it when I say no matter one sexual orientation, Male or female, LGBTQ or straight her movie so far of the 2 I've seen I am sure each one of her films out do the other one, meaning they all will be worth watching & I'm only speaking for myself because I know there many fans of hers who have seen all of her films. This comment is really for those who are new like myself or feel, or felt the way I did & are not afraid of being HONEST
But it's not always about the story. Not having Black actors in many of these lesbian roles is unconscionable and needs to stop. Black lesbians exist but you wouldn't know it by watching all of these movies.

Just finished the movie for the first time and I loved it!🥰 Normally, I hate anything related to cheating since it's so overused in movies and series, but this time, I didn't hate it that much and am just glad Elena made the right choice and it had a nice ending for a change. One where neither (or both) of them dies, gets abandoned or gets cheated on and have a good ending.
At the whole 'Soulmates' part, I also normally have mixed feelings over that. I don't like it when this term is used 'casually' (I'm a huge Xena Warrior Princess fan and Xena and Gabrielle are the embodiment of soulmates and one does not easily reach that level), but it was nicely put into this movie :3 Don't get me wrong, in my opinion, NONE will surpass Xena and Gabrielle but it indeed was cute/nicely used in this movie :3
