The girl feeling ashamed for having accepting parents actually made me cry because in reality that’s what we all deserve as queer people. It’s kinda depressing that even those who are embraced by their family can’t fully feel their joy because it carries a certain guilt with it.

"You're a wanker, number 9!" I absolutely love Imagine You and Me. The kissing is bland at best but the feel of the entire movie is so light, so fun you almost feel as if you're falling in love yourself.

What I really love about this list is the fact it made me discover a lot of movies I didn't know. Some of the movies in your list are already in my to-watch list, but you have convinced me to put The World to Come in there as well. Truth be told I'm skeptical about it, I know it doesn't have a good ending, plus yeah the whole 'another period movie?' thing, but the scene you chose to show really had me feeling interested. There are two older movies that I absolutely love, one called "November Moon". It takes place during WW2 in Germany. Another one is called "Fire", it takes place in conservative, traditional India. I love movies with history and different culture. They both have great endings as well.

Good list, I'd like to add Celie and Sug in The Color Purple, when Sug kisses Celie and then Celie kisses her back and you know what's coming (that they never show of course) and Celie says "I don't know nothin' about it" and Sug smiles and says "I don't know much" - absolutely beautiful scene. Oh, and when Idgie says to Ruth "I'm about as settled as I'm ever gonna be" in Fried Green Tomatoes. Neither of those are openly lesbian movies, but they are two of the best IMO
