i'm so glad i stumbled upon this and your how to make new friends video , , i deleted tiktok around about the same time as you and it was honestly the best decision i've made , , the doom scrolling made me miserable but i have more time on my hands now , , its great ! i just adore the energy i get from these videos , , they're so refreshing

I’m gen x and you’re right about the tv aspect (RUclips mostly) but the thing is I will have it on in the background while I cook, knit, weave, paint, clean etc. occasionally I’ll watch on my phone but I think it has to be horrible for the eyes.

Never had TikTok. Best thing i never did was not getting TikTok. Never saw the value in it.
Dont think that i think of myself as a Saint, i drink and i smoke.
I just think at least im in the real world and meeting Firends whilst doing so.
I never really managed to curate tiktok's algorithm to my taste, but my biggest problem was Instagram - I quit both, as well as Snapchat, around 2 years ago now. what a slay move that was !! I'm so much happier without all the noise, and other people as well as RUclips inform me of the current memes and discourses so I don't feel too left out :)
yes exactly !! you'll eventually get the trends and stuff even if its a bit later :)
the younger gen z dont use tiktok, it must be the older
how young is young gen z to you?
@@jaylynnangelina the youngest are born 2009. Teenagers are not on TikTok
@@k-qp2nv I definitely know some personally that have tiktok but I'll have to look into if the older half of the generation are on it more
ive seen people say as young as 2012
