Thanks for going thru your rigging and gear. In my opinion any winter fishing where you catch is a good fishing session. Nice little variety. Wish that we had rock pools like those in MD. We do get to fish rip rap and large block boulder jetties for our tautog, cunners, and blennies.
Hey man. I’m in MD in April so I was looking for tide pools and realised there’s pretty much none on the entire east coast, just sandy beaches! I don’t know how I would cope. Been to the PNW and it looked more craggy there but I wasn’t micro fishing back then and was on a climbing trip.
@lurekayaklrf coastlines like those that you fish are found beginning in CT and RI then North up into Canada. Still plenty of microfishing opportunities around oyster beds, bridges, piers and jetties.
@@johnaufderheide6117 thanks, I have fished RI from a boat can’t remember what it is we were catching. Done a tiny bit of micro fishing around NJ with Dirtyjerzfishing caught a skillet fish and a really angry Blenny of some sort. Been to Conowingo dam a few times for walleye but nothing yet. Hard spot in the winter!
I have fished with Dirtyjerz here in MD for crested blennies at one of my spots for that species. My daughter and I fished with him in NJ for darters and weather fish. Great guy and fisherman.
Nice vid, sorry to see you take a tumble, but sort of makes me feel better as I pick my creaky, arthritic old bloke way over the rocks. I’ve taken to wearing leather cycling gloves for rock fishing, they protect the palms from “cheese grater” barnacled rocks but keep my fingers clear for baiting tying etc. ATB from N.Devon
@@karlstokes874 I just ordered a box of needles online think they were ear piercing needles or something. On Amazon just search ‘piercing needle’ and they come up, I went for one of the smaller sizes can’t remember which one but they’re like a fiver for a load of them.
Thanks for the tips very interesting and helpful.🎣🎣👍
Another awesome watch , cheers Donny!
Great video Donny, rockpooling is something Im yet to try but would like to give it a go sometime.
1:51 the most effective way to rig a Isome 👏🏻
Nice bit of rockpooling dude, always hard work this time of year
Neat video. I love fishing rock pools. Fishing rock pools like that and wading small creeks are my top two ways to fish.
@@TheFishingNomad yep sight fishing is the best
The little corkie is a belter! 👍
Yeh a lot of the LRF species look Amazing when really small, tiny Tompots are so cute.
@@lurekayaklrf you doing pretty good in the winter league! 👍

I find the shad fishing at Conowingo much better than walleye. Mid to late April is a good time for that run.

Good idea yeh. I’ve got some of those it’s just a choice between warmth and safety this time of year haha.
tried this first time the other day, like the tip about the baiting needle... whats the measuring container called please
Pro marine viewing / observation tank. That’s the small 10cm one I’ve recently got the medium 15cm one too.
May i ask what baiting needle you use
