The second part of my Winter Road Trip, species hunting for The Big Lerf Winter League 2024/25. Poole Harbour.

As I embark on a 2-3 week road trip catching as much as I can for The Big Lerf Winter League, I start my journey catching the beautiful Greyling, on the Hampshire Avon on a cold Sunday Morning.

EDIT - I've since noticed the first 2 fish I caught were the same fish! As Winter starts to creep in, I head out on a calm and crisp day in early November to target some Pike on lures. I visit some local Weir Pools that I know are a safe bet for a few fish in the 5-10lb region, although I have had them up to 14lb here!

I take my 120cm Japanese tanago rod out on my local stream, to see what I can catch!
