- The insane way this watch tells time is on another level! This crazy watch has the quirkiest display ever, broken down into three separate rings for hours, minutes and seconds. How does it do it?!

I miss the old school videos of just hands and watches. Such amazing shots of watches.
*_Trilobe Une Folle Journée_** ($22K, New, Titanium, Black), quirky but compelling.*
*(**1:55** Also, nice nod to Dreyfuss' infamous scene in "Close Encounters." 🙌)*
3:32 to 3:54 but the display DOES allow the reading of time to more than within 5 minutes (really no different than any watch with 12 indices and nothing in between). The red arrow points to both the hour and minutes. In no way is it a "about 25 minutes past" watch.
For instance at 3:39 in the video the watch is displaying the time as about 12:17. At 3:02 in the video, the watch is displaying about 12:29. At 7:11 in the video, the watch is displaying about 12:56.
With the bubble crystal I’d spend all day whacking it against doors, door frames, radiators and all manner of other household & office furniture.
I read this as an on purpose thing. You see the bubble and start trying to wack it flat(!)
Good to see that there's as much "crazy" in high end watch construction as there is in low end novelty watches :-) I'm also impressed that you are both more enthusiastic and poetic about these devices than any of the *actual* marketing departments...
I love it! It's different yet still functional. I do wonder how they would implement a date should they feel the need. New designs is what we need for 'new' watches. A change from the cut and paste back catalogue although I'm more than OK with those releases. It's not on my list of must have watches for various reasons but it doesn't stop me wanting one.
I love it when watches get fun and crazy! Love this one.
Love seeing Trilobe featured here :)
Original and different, that’s what the watch industry needs.
“Madder than a Rottweiler with a gun” - but who’s going to buy it one wonders especially at that price
Reminds me of the machine from 13 ghosts.
Maybe it's just me, but in the overhead shots the seconds ring dosen't seem to rotate smoothly.
That floating second ring is amazing!
I love Trilobe's Nuit Fantastique, although it's well beyond my price range.
It would make me smile when I checked the time, a winner in my book, thank you 😊
Simply amazing, human ingenuity and imagination triumphs here.
This is a fun and casual watch, which is unusual three rings design. I have quite a few fun and casual watches already.
I'm glad watches like this exsist
I would have reversed the ring with the seconds on rhe outside and hours on the middle. Shift the rings to the right. You would have much better reading accuracy.
I’m not really a watch person I just enjoy your videos. As a rule I’m not interested by the carriage trade but I do enjoy craftsmanship and eccentricity. This watch delivers on both counts.
This is a pretty cool and crazy watch. I would have made 2 red indicators from the center of the seconds shaft and to the outside of the hour maker where the circles are the closest. That would be the most intrusive way to read the time accurately.
How was having a custom watch made cheaper than spending 100k on a Zietwerk? That's on top of leaving a great paying job. Makes a great genesis story.
What a super cool watch. And still very readable!!! Out of my budget unfortunately, but I would abdolitely wear this.
This type of time telling is called ptolemaic. The problem is, most people don't know that, so whenever someone reinvents the principle they never call it that. Making similar things really hard to find.
Love it.
This watch reminds me a lot of a Submariner in spirit - the spirit of exploration.
0:43 The return of The Hands!
Just saw a commercial for Lonville Watches (micro-rotor looked interesting)... does anyone know anything about them?
Fabulous 🎉
2:00 Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Anyone else get the reference?
I think it's a great little watch. 👌
I honestly enjoyed the hands only videos more
Amusing but that’s the only reason I’d wear it.
Please do the review on vc 222
I don't know about you, but my OCD is triggered seeing the counter clockwise rotation. Can you still call it a clock/watch?😂😂😂
I like it!
Interesting engineering but more of a desk ornament that a wearable watch.
I’d love to have a giant version as a desk ornament
This one looks neat but it's unwearable while their more mundane models have too much empty space on the dial and look too plain. Personally I prefer triskelions to trilobes. I'll give you 100 quatloos for the watch.
I'd wear the hell out of it. It's a looker
I kept thinking I figured out what time it said, only to question myself a moment later...pretty cool engineering however...
cool watch . I love your voice.
I love it.
Like Orcas: I'm happy they exist, but I'll never see one and wouldn't strap one to my wrist.
I want one😊
33 jewels, hmm. Interesting and cool.
Nice
I like it
Cool
Perhaps accurate, but not precise.
Benedict Cumberwatch.
I own one, love it 👌🏼🔥.
Got it from the limited edition too 👌🏼🔥
Now waiting for my MB&F101 🫠
100,000 dollar watch?
Why do you keep cutting to a video of yourself?
crazy 🤣
I'll take one.....oh, can you lend me 23k€ please?
its a no from me!
Face reveal
Your writing has gone from good to gooder to gooderer.
Then goodest... and then, most bestest...
Interesting but pretty useless.
That is so very... What's a way to say cool without sounding like a lame boomer
I bailed quite some time ago on this channel when you guys changed to format to this more casual style, glad I did. This style makes the videos lack charm and warmth. Really, really bummed still.
Very very cool!! I've been obsessed with aliens and UFOs since 1995 when I saw 1,up close and way to damn personal. UFO,not an alien. This... Oh this fits right in my little cubby hole of UFO and horological addictions. Now all I need is some cash. HEY! Anyone in the comments wanna loan me a few grand? 😂 If this gets 100 lks ill tell the ufo story k.
