hypero123 ofcourse they give because it's a big flaw they made there. Also loose adapter and it cost you like a charger, want to use earphones and conviently use power bank - Nope. Want to listen music on a trip on wireless earphones, oh, they ran out of power. That's not even all.
Htc m7 blue is best looking phone ever! I owned silver but blue is do awesome. I had m7, m8 and now u11.. Htc is for me best mobile company, they have awesome design and best ui for android(after stock android), not some crappy Samsung laggy ui.
I've used HTC phones for years but decided to try out samsung once (galaxy j5) after less than 5 months of use it works worse than my 3 year old M8 ... If it wasn't for battery problems I would still be using that phone right now
thetothecikpah2010 can’t bring myself to get rid of mine, even after moving onto a V20 when my M8 finally started to give up, so it’s still in the drawer.
It's just sad to see where HTC is today, while few years ago it was one the leading phone companies. I just remember the days of M7 and M8, and how I thought that they are stunning phones, and everyone wanted one, including me. I just hope HTC gets back to the track, and releases a phone with amazing speakers like M8 had, of course a headphone jack, and another stunning design similar to M7 or M8.
yeah i have one here. only complaint is the fragile display (the top of my screen is almost completely unresponsive), and the battery. (it likes to die at 65%, not 1%, and that charge lasts me about an hour.)
They should have refined the 10's design and metal. An 18:9 6" AMOLED panel, with stereo speakers, a DAC for the headphone jack would have flew off shelves in the current smartphone space where compromises are being made.
Xaviery Gloria i bought that phone and enjoyed the 3d videos on RUclips but i hated the carousel UI. everytime i scrolled too fast that thing would start spinning. Drove me crazy.
Great historical piece, John. HTC has some good phones but a few flaws like the camera on the M7 with it's ultra pixels and bad reviews. Some criticized their marketing as a downfall. But they pushed the phone industry with their designs and use of premium materials. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
Thanks! That UltraPixel, oh how I remember how they touted it to be superior with larger pixels. And yeah, no memorable advertising with any of its phones :(
When I first saw the one m7 I just fell in love, the design was so nice, and those speakers... When I got it everyone in my old job wanted to see it, try it, everyone thought it was amazing, but now....all phones just look so similar. Htc's design right now is not what it used to be. Anyway, using a Nexus 6p now (I know, it's pretty old, but I love it)
I had every HTC flagship since the One M7 to the 10. After I saw the U11 I decided to keep my HTC 10 another year and now I decided to go to Samsung. HTC let me down but this Samsung Galaxy S9+ is really letting me know what a true flagship is!
My day begins at 8am and i get home at 9pm, Using Wi-fi and watching videos i get home with about 42%. The phone is very well optimized and can go a whole day with it!
Critics had a lot to do with that. They kept saying that the dual camera was a gimmick, it was very criticized. I don't blame HTC for going back to single cameras. The critics changed their minds after Apple started using dual cameras, of course.
This was awesome. I think the last great compromise free flagship smartphone period was that HTC 10. I don't like the U series at all. I think the 12 should have been an 18:9 metal back 10. The 12 looks impressive and did not get a notch, but still.
HTC HD2 was their peak imo everyone was wondering why would I have such a gigantic phone (4.3") ...I got the same comments for insanely large Note1 (5.3")
Had the m7 and have the HTC 10. What I loved about these phones was the glassless metal body and the capacitive buttons at the bottom. It seems like both features are now extinct unfortunately.
You missed a great htc phone...possibly one of my favorite htc phone as I grew with htc after the g1 and nexus one, but the HTC SENSATION! It had an awseome metal body design! Check it out!
If you are going to sell a small phone like what is at the 3:13 mark you should NEVER put it in the huge HAM PAW like in that clip. WOW, that is one meaty hand that just swallowed that phone. LOL
I never knew that a HTC Desire 626 has the same design as a HTC One M8 without the aluminum back and the weird camera housing but it still retains that 2011 HTC design
Htc phone the worst screen to body phone and battery life that i ever use... Software is great BUT HTC phone with metal design is too hot when surfing with data network.
Hi there, I'm Abhinav Janak from Hyderabad, India. I'm a huge HTC fan and an avid HTC User. Fantastic seeing this video! I have been using the Desire 828 phone since more than 5 years. I wish you had mentioned about HTC Desire 828. Below is the write up about this phone on HTC's website : " HTC continues its proud tradition of award-winning design with the HTC Desire 828 dual sim. Inspired by performance sports cars, created by award-winning designers: featuring streamlined curves for grip-friendly, eye-pleasing elegance. Its stripe-thin edges, lightweight frame and finely detailed construction make the HTC Desire 828 dual sim the ideal go-everywhere, photo lover’s best friend " I feel so proud to be using this phone currently and to have used this up until now since Jan 2016 when it was launched. It has been a joy to hold this award winning designed phone in may hands throughout! Most impressive are it's cameras, it's light weight body (144 gms), poly carbonate plastic frame that's so nice to grip and maintain, also pleasing to the eyes along with very sweet looking front dual speakers , the design of which looks the best as compared to all other brands. It also is very less in radiation ( Least SAR value ) . HTC must bring back the dual front speakers and the 3.5mm head phone jack on all their upcoming flagships and midrangers along with making the phones water resistant ( IP68) and impact resistant ( MIL Grade) too. I am trying hard to get U11+ and U12+ phones. Hoping and wishing to get many valuable and fantastic phones HTC phones in India with jaw dropping and incredible designs that can beat all other competitors hollow.
+Phone Arena The One M7 was released in *2013* not 2014. The best *"industrial phone"* design released to date that even Apple copied on their iPhone 6 and iPads. I still can't get over that 469 ppi 1080 x 1920p 4.7-inch LCD screen. It's crisp and detailed; almost as close as AMOLED. And the *dual front-facing Beats Audio-capable speakers* just blew my mind off!
Why did you all not showcase the htc universal from 2005. That phone was incredible! It was made in 2005 but, was one of the first phones with 2 cameras, the largest touch screen phone of its time (3.6 inches), and the first phone with a 480x640 screeen resolution! It was a miniature laptop that could transform into a touch screen phone, and the loudspeaker sound for a phone of it's time was amazing! It was also one of the first phones with a 3.5 mm headphone jack! Even the HTC Blue Angel(2004) was incredible, and it came before the HTC Apache! The HTC Blue Angel was one of the first phones to gain a wide hacking and modding community!
HTC - the fallen giant. I will always have a special place in my heart for High Tech Computers. They lost me after the One X. My last HTC was the the M7, grabbed a Note 3 and never looked back. Have had every Note sense. I have fond memories of my Wing, Palm Treo Pro (made by HTC), Touch Diamond, HD2, Touch Pro 2...
I'm watching this on a HTC U11+ the black see through EU model. I always buy HTC since my first Desire HD. Only had one bad experience, that was with the 1X that was a terrible phone. After that I had an M8 and a 10 both were awesome. With this U11+ though, I'm soo afraid to drop it. It feels like it will just shatter into a million pieces. But it's a beautiful phone!
I never really liked HTC's design philosophy until in 2013 where they introduced the One M7. That phone was sexy as hell compared to the Samsung S4 or any other Balckberry phones which were dominating the market at that time. Sony XPERIA Z came close to being one of the best at that time and I could only afford its successor which was the M8 and I used it for 2 years. Amazing design and performance, but the camera was its achilles hill. I wish HTC could keep that signature design and made the screen bezelles on the left and right sides while leaving the front facing speakers on top and bottom. I really do miss the old HTC.
I hate to see HTC following the crowd... Sigghhhhh ... one of the reasons I bought the 10 over U11 was because it was metal and reminded me of the glorious M7... And now HTC is slowly dying... Pains me to say it... If HTC does stop making phones, I probably will migrate to Google just because they bought over some of HTC smart phone division...
I had the HTC HD2, I would use it even now, because it has amazing design and durability like a CAT smartphone, but it has a 800x600 resolution I think and 512MB of ram, and it's a crappy windowws
Man as far as I'm concerned HTC always made better smartphones then Samsung, Samsung just had way more money and budget for advertising, as Samsung has catapulted into the spotlight they basically control the entire market and that's sad because awesome trailblazers like HTC who make great phones sometimes arguably better get no love at all, the technology marketplace is fucked, look at cars you don't see one manufacturer selling like 90% of the cars on the road, I hope HTC doesn't go out of business.
I really miss mine HTC Desire Z. I still find physical keyboard much more comfortable for fast typing then large touchscreen. I don't give a s**t about few extra mm of thickness. After all, two or three of my previous phones had extra large aftermarket battery in them.
Htc m7 and m8 owner here. M8 was the goat and handled well. Design was great but didn't buy any phones after that. Bought a note 5. Hopefully htc u12+ is promising
Btw the one x was 2012 not 2013 and the one m7 was 2013 not 2014, I remember his very clearly because I got the M7 for myself and my girlfriend at the time right before she lost her battle to cancer
Im hoping htc can pull it together and challenge the big three, (google, samsung, and apple) and i wish we could see them team up with windows to make a beautiful windows phone device, it wont happen because the mobile divisions of each company has lost so much money, but i think if they poured enough resources in, theres definitely a market
I had the Hero,Touch pro & HTC sense was way better to look at especially when the weather flys across the screen. HTC phones were definitely cheaper and better than an iPhone 📱. Miss these days
Their smartphones were rebranded because it was their business model. HTC means Hi Tech Computers, and the company was never envisioned to attain such a fame
Which one of the htc smartphones had it where the battery came out the side with the cover being metal like the body? I'm trying to find one because it was my first phone
i still have a m7 but i don't use it because its basically destroyed the camera lens was shattered and had the purple camera flaw apparently a lot of people had and a random dent and the top speaker vent broke and was unfixable
Revive the m8 please htc! It's the best phone ever made. No other phone in the market today can give me the exact same feeling as when I had that phone
Desire 600 was a beast . For 100$ you get beats audio with amazing dual speakers , I still didn't hear crispier audio like in desire 600 .. then HTC become shit
I had the M8 and it has lasted me 3 years. Nowadays I have U11 and I'll never regret to go to HTC when I was a Sony and Samsung fanboy. Damn, I was completely a fool.
Melbourne Dauz HTC sucks now, tbh. The U series lack everything that made them unique. No headphone jack, no front firing speaker, no extra strong build. Everything else it does, competition does it better.
Remember when htc had the title of best looking android phone? Then came the galaxy s6 edge. Every since then, the galaxy has been labeled the best smart phone design ever made. It's So good that ppl don't even want to put a case on it. Now show the real winner, the evolution of Samsung design
HTC always designed the best looking phones.
Hurts to see HTC dying in smartphone industry now !
Saurabh Chougule dying?pixel 2 is by htc
erriezzans Lounge no headphone jack too, killing the point of android phones
Juris Blumfelds not really I don't find it an inconvenience at all since HTC give you a headphone Jack adaptor
hypero123 ofcourse they give because it's a big flaw they made there. Also loose adapter and it cost you like a charger, want to use earphones and conviently use power bank - Nope. Want to listen music on a trip on wireless earphones, oh, they ran out of power. That's not even all.
It makes me sad as well
Man, seeing that M7 and M8 brought back memories! Miss that design.
Htc m7 blue is best looking phone ever! I owned silver but blue is do awesome. I had m7, m8 and now u11.. Htc is for me best mobile company, they have awesome design and best ui for android(after stock android), not some crappy Samsung laggy ui.
3165dwayne for insane price..
pWnisher still using my red M7, it's super gorgeous
I have my silver one m7 in pieces :(
I've used HTC phones for years but decided to try out samsung once (galaxy j5) after less than 5 months of use it works worse than my 3 year old M8 ... If it wasn't for battery problems I would still be using that phone right now
Samsung UIhas always lagged.. back then and today... Plus is wack useless and crappy. Stock Android for me or htc sense or iOS... Fuck lagaxy devices
The best was m8
thetothecikpah2010 can’t bring myself to get rid of mine, even after moving onto a V20 when my M8 finally started to give up, so it’s still in the drawer.
heh im commenting from my M8 right now
It's just sad to see where HTC is today, while few years ago it was one the leading phone companies. I just hope HTC gets back to the track, and releases a phone with amazing speakers like M8 had, of course a headphone jack, and another stunning design similar to M7 or M8.
All phones literally look the same now, bezeless with glass back design. At least 2-3 years ago phones were actually unique in some sense.
HTC One M8 is the most greatest design on HTC's history.
yeah i have one here. only complaint is the fragile display (the top of my screen is almost completely unresponsive), and the battery. (it likes to die at 65%, not 1%, and that charge lasts me about an hour.)
I have the m8
@@c0ff1ntrap good phone too
Htc is still the best smartphone manufacturer, even now they killed the competition with u11+
The first android phone was Htc G1/Htc Dream
I would jump on a modern M7/M8 faster than he went from 2010 to 2018
after htc 10 they fcked up.. awful design, colors, internals and they lost premium metal build signature
They should have refined the 10's design and metal. An 18:9 6" AMOLED panel, with stereo speakers, a DAC for the headphone jack would have flew off shelves in the current smartphone space where compromises are being made.
HTC is a legend
I'm using my u11+
和泉さぎり I updated my u11+ & the sim card stopped detecting. Had this issue yet
sley19 I have no major issues yet,but I think the screen is a little bit dim for me.
Great choice man. I have one as well
they lost it ater the M8
I agree. I remember seeing it and was like WTF
The M7 is the best..still using mine!
Hope they come back to glory again....I want to see them successful...
they need to or else they're gonna go bankrupt and i don't want that to happen
One M7 was 2013, M8 was 2014. Owner of both
HTC One M7 was my very first HTC phone and will always be my favorite HTC. I hope they can still survive the mobile market.
the greatest phone ever made is the original HTC Evo. ive never been more hyped for a phone than i was for the Evo. i still have mine.
MrBoriqua2000 evo 3d
Xaviery Gloria i bought that phone and enjoyed the 3d videos on RUclips but i hated the carousel UI. everytime i scrolled too fast that thing would start spinning. Drove me crazy.
Watching 3d videos gave me migraine so i had to switch with iphone 4
I remember that iPhone killer. It was awesome. Unfortunately HTC is dead now and Apple is going up 🔥
It had sooo many firsts, I was blown away!
I wish HTC can get back to their good old days. Their build quality has always been so good.
Great historical piece, John. HTC has some good phones but a few flaws like the camera on the M7 with it's ultra pixels and bad reviews. Some criticized their marketing as a downfall. But they pushed the phone industry with their designs and use of premium materials.

Anyway, using a Nexus 6p now (I know, it's pretty old, but I love it)
It's one of my all-time best designed phones
m7 was the best design phone of htc
You didn't mention the Htc Windows Phone X and S, some of the most beautiful plastic build phones ever in my opinion!!
I'll make sure to cover them in the next video hopefully. Although, I did sneak in the HTC 7 Pro into the video early on and at the end.
Wow! I’ve owned most of these phones. The original EVO from Sprint was a cool phone. But the M7 was absolutely my favorite.
HTC the only company to ever bring something new to the table
m7 is where its at
HTC stands for only hi technology computer
M7 was the best. Simple.
I had every HTC flagship since the One M7 to the 10. After I saw the U11 I decided to keep my HTC 10 another year and now I decided to go to Samsung. HTC let me down but this Samsung Galaxy S9+ is really letting me know what a true flagship is!
I'm still hoping for an HTC comeback
Htc is a legend
I have u11 😍😍
Hardi97X u11 is such a beast phone! Easily the best phone I've ever purchased.
I love the u11❤️ can’t stand android though 😕 had to go with iPhone 10
I love my u11 sapphire blue
How's the battery life?
My day begins at 8am and i get home at 9pm, Using Wi-fi and watching videos i get home with about 42%. The phone is very well optimized and can go a whole day with it!
I have htc i love htc but here in philippines is so hard to find a case. but i like htc so much
I had most of the HTCs listed - however after the M7 - M9 they had HORRIBLE cameras so I went with Samsung Galaxy series and haven't looked back since
robino41510707 it's a shame that they only downgraded as HTC with M8 were the leaders, having a real, first dual camera that is soo popular today
Critics had a lot to do with that. They kept saying that the dual camera was a gimmick, it was very criticized. I don't blame HTC for going back to single cameras. The critics changed their minds after Apple started using dual cameras, of course.
robino41510707 I had 3 in this list

I agree. The HTC 10's design was really under appreciated.
Always have a special place in my heart for HTC😀
I loved the htc with sliding qwertys....i miss sliding qwertys...
me to!
HTC HD2 was their peak imo
everyone was wondering why would I have such a gigantic phone (4.3") ...I got the same comments for insanely large Note1 (5.3")
Had the m7 and have the HTC 10. What I loved about these phones was the glassless metal body and the capacitive buttons at the bottom. It seems like both features are now extinct unfortunately.

My favorite-HTC Sensation
The G1 was a classic hit in 2007,College and high school kids loved the phone
I never knew that a HTC Desire 626 has the same design as a HTC One M8 without the aluminum back and the weird camera housing but it still retains that 2011 HTC design
still have my wildfire s great little phone this phone even support 64GB microSD card
Htc phone the worst screen to body phone and battery life that i ever use...
Software is great BUT HTC phone with metal design is too hot when surfing with data network.
Nice trip down memory lane

I feel so proud to be using this phone currently and to have used this up until now since Jan 2016 when it was launched. Hoping and wishing to get many valuable and fantastic phones HTC phones in India with jaw dropping and incredible designs that can beat all other competitors hollow.
Great video! They have some of my favorite designs, some that have been copied my many. Aluminum chairs for example 😌. Keep up the good work HTC.
The Tech Temple glad you like it :)

Huawei has been making some sick looking phones!

I had an M7.
Then gave my dad the M8. I think they were one of the best phones I've used. I reminisce the great contact system.
Man as far as I'm concerned HTC always made better smartphones then Samsung, Samsung just had way more money and budget for advertising, as Samsung has catapulted into the spotlight they basically control the entire market and that's sad because awesome trailblazers like HTC who make great phones sometimes arguably better get no love at all, the technology marketplace is fucked, look at cars you don't see one manufacturer selling like 90% of the cars on the road, I hope HTC doesn't go out of business.

jur4x loved that one too! Especially how that keyboard came out
Htc m7 and m8 owner here. M8 was the goat and handled well. Design was great but didn't buy any phones after that. Bought a note 5. Hopefully htc u12+ is promising
First generation of HTC One comes in 2012, and M7 was in 2013 (not 2014).

I had a T-Mobile shadow lol
Ahh. The HTC One M7, the "best designed phone of all time" mostly because it was just the iPhone 5 (and later SE) design.
Loved htc , sad too see things going down..... had many of these phones
I had the Hero,Touch pro & HTC sense was way better to look at especially when the weather flys across the screen. HTC phones were definitely cheaper and better than an iPhone 📱. Miss these days
Wait... A Good John V Video 🤔 Must be Christmas
Their smartphones were rebranded because it was their business model. HTC means Hi Tech Computers, and the company was never envisioned to attain such a fame
Ugh the Touch Pro 2 was soooo garbage!!! It was such a fucking lagfest! But it had such a Godly Keyboard!!!
I dont know why i didn't subscribe to this channel
Still using the M8 with a custom rom 7.1 nougat...its super fast ,like new..best phone ever made.
My first smart phone was a HTC desire. Ah the days of staying up all night to surf on Facebook lmao
No mention of the sensation??? There were alot of phones in-between the legend and one x, also one x was 2012 and m7 was 2013.
Which one of the htc smartphones had it where the battery came out the side with the cover being metal like the body? I'm trying to find one because it was my first phone
HTC Hero was best. I like real physical buttios much, much more than virtual butteons....
my m8 still rocks😁
i still have a m7 but i don't use it because its basically destroyed the camera lens was shattered and had the purple camera flaw apparently a lot of people had and a random dent and the top speaker vent broke and was unfixable
How could you forget the DIAMOND
Memories.
The Inspire 4G and the M8 were both great bricks for their times.
Revive the m8 please htc! It's the best phone ever made. No other phone in the market today can give me the exact same feeling as when I had that phone
🚬🚬🚬🍼🍼🛌🛌🛌🛌🛌🐌🐌🦖🦖🦖 0:31
I loved the hero ....had the brown version and the chin with trackball was an interesting piece of engineering...
Well done HTC and the One&Co design team before they all left.
The M9 was the device that sealed HTC's fate with me. That phone overheated soooo bad. Happy with my pixel.
Jared Neal I feel the same way. I also thought that the design was a step back from the M8
In my honest opinion nobody has designed a better phone than the HTC One M7, even till this day
HTC touch was my favorite phone
Desire 600 was a beast . For 100$ you get beats audio with amazing dual speakers , I still didn't hear crispier audio like in desire 600 .. then HTC become shit
I had the M8 and it has lasted me 3 years. Nowadays I have U11 and I'll never regret to go to HTC when I was a Sony and Samsung fanboy. Damn, I was completely a fool.

I owned an HTC TYTN II. It was cool. But now I see HTC dying...
What about the htc evo 3D from 2012
My first HTC is HTC One X. And I still use it.
hTC 10, Hands down the best phone ever!
Evo 3D was the worst phone I've ever owned.
I still prefer the aluminum build than the glass on glass.
