I don't care what anyone says. The opening to 28 Weeks Later is one of the most gut wrenching openings to a horror film ever made. This took way too long to make, but I understand why Garland and Boyle stepped away for awhile. It looks incredible. It also looks like the infected have had some evolution. Giants? Wow.
1:59 THE SHOT OF THE ZOMBIES RUNNING WITH THE BIG TREE AND THE SKY IN THE BACK...THAT IS BEAUTIFUL HORROR...Yea this is going to be a top 5 movie of 2025....Looks Insane.
The terrifying voice over is narrating a Rudyard Kipling poem called 'Boots' published in 1903 . This trailer is truly terrifying. 'What will humanity become ?' Holy F*ck, brother ... 🤘
Looks awesome! Having Danny Boyle back is so amazing. Can’t believe this was shot on an iPhone 15 Pro Max (albeit with expensive lenses), but still, looks incredible.
Jimmy is the name of the boy at the begining Jimmy is written on a sign Jimmy is carved into the hanging body Is there meaning to that or am i looking too into it?
I think this is a perfect trailer. I'm not someone who was that interested in this, but the trailer got me hyped. It didn't even show that much, which is what trailers should be, but showed enough to have me invested and the, music? gave anxiety
The 28 series is one of my favourite zombie/infected franchises and this looks incredible. Also, the fact that this was shot on an iPhone 15 Pro Max is absolutely insane too. Can't wait for this one.
This trailer was really great. I need to watch both 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later because I never seen those movies, but with this movie I might. What the person was quoting from in the trailer is a poem called 'Boots.'
Omg! This looks amazing. I wonder what those numbers mean! The guy chanting makes this even more intense. I thought they were zombies as well. Was that a skull tree? Let me go back and watch both films because it’s been years since I’ve seen them.
That’s just an assumption, no one involved with the film has actually confirmed it’s him. And they most likely won’t so that people can continue speculating
28 Weeks has just such a perfect horrific/nihilistic atmosphere, with some unexpectedly moving new characters amidst the larger scale. This trailer is a masterpiece, and it's also exciting we'll get a glimpse of "28 Hours Later"...
Had no idea what the poem Boots was until people started talking about it with the release of this trailer. It has got me so creeped out. What a GREAT trailer. Very well done.
No words can express how grateful I am for them making this. Easily my favourite franchise of all time. The trailer is already better than any other trailer I’ve seen in decades.
As someone from England, London and grew up with this movie it means a lot to see a 3rd. I been waiting 28 years for this! I know someone at work who's cousin is the director of this (Danny Boyle). Sadly they ain't close, but I ask every year if I can get an invite to a christmas dinner with him ;-; I took Drama in school. Can't wait for this
Loved this trailer. Excited to see where this film goes in the continuation of the story. Really enjoyed the first 2 films, so really looking forward to the 3rd installment.
So this is going to be a trilogy (sequel has already been filmed, it's called 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple) and I can confirm that Cillian Murphy will be in all three movies.
Here is a theory (assuming that is CM in the trailer, which it certainly looks like). One of the themes in the first movie was that when Jim was full of natural rage over what the soldiers did, he started to look, move, and kill just like the infected... So what if he is somewhat able to control the virus now that he is infected? Maybe there was something like that going on in the second movie with the mother who was unaffected by the rage virus as well... We never did get an explanation on why she wasnt showing the symptoms despite being infected...
I'm excited. 28 Days Later is one of my favorite scary movies. It also introduced me to Cillian Murphy and director Danny Boyle, and I've followed them since.
The Rudyard Kipling poem playing through the trailer gives me the chills! It's so freaking creepy! The mask that person was wearing looked like Jim & so did that really skinny "zombie" in the field did to. It also looked like Jim's name was carved into someone's back....Makes me wonder what his role is going to be.
I only saw the first one and I vaguely remember enjoying it. That emaciated zombie doing the classic rise from the grave (Altered Beast reference not intended) is what got my attention. I'll keep it on my backburner for now.
The corpse that looks like Cillian Murphy creeps me the hell out lol, like the Earthmover from Batman beyond. Looking forward to this movie, looks amazing and has spooky vibe to it
He is either a corpse or highly starved out. Like somebody that survived a really bad POW camp or the like....and yes....he looks like Cillian Murphy to me as well.
It feels like a decade of hearing news about the sequel to 28 Weeks Later. Now that it's finally here? I'm speachless and excited. I just want to point out, 28 Years Later from my understanding is split in 2 parts. The first one that you just watched the trailer for, is directed by Danny Boyle, while the second part is directed by Nia DaCosta. As excited as I am for the sequel, I'm getting tired of current trend spliting the movie in 2 parts.
It drives my OCD mad that it's not called Months Later lol And I liked Weeks Later the only thing I hate is they killed off Jeremy Renners character cus he felt like a protagonist that should have lived
All i want is to see murphy's accident in the start, it cuts to the day 1 infection. It shows the church he went into... "repent, the end is extremely fucking nigh" We get introduced to a character that they seem to want to hype up as the main focus. We get a 10-15 min scene of London day 1 out break. Gruesome, fucked up, bloody. All that. Then when you think the main character is going to live they just randomly die.. Then it cuts to Cillian waking up from the hospital bed, he walks to the door and grabs the key that as slid under the door for him, and it cuts to the title scene. 28 years later. Ahh, would be a perfect start
U should call them what u want :) I still get in trouble for calling Grogu baby Yoda lol These I use to call zombies, now just the infected I guess lol
I swear no matter how many times i've seen the trailer, the scene at 2:00 with the infected on the hill running towards is freaky. Also is it just me or one of them looks huge, they're much larger than the others. That one could also be the one later in the trailer running after the leads....does that mean the infected got bigger, cause we see another one that looks huge but we only see its back side.
It's a good trailer. It feels like it shows us what it needs to show us, but not enough to show its whole hand. Which is how I prefer it over showing us the entire movie. I think we're on the same page. The original does a few things less thinks that are outlandish than it Weeks, but I think Weeks is more entertaining and has more interesting chatacters. Weeke goes over the to on occasion but that is expected with a sequel. Both are good films.
This looks really good! I would call the category this falls into “zombie adjacent.” And I would call the ones with the Rage virus “the infected,” not zombies. I’m the type that would probably correct someone if they called this a zombie movie or called the infected people zombies, but I wouldn’t get crazy offended by it either, like some people do.
I admittedly haven’t seen either of these, I have seen some of the first one about half but then I got busy doing other things but, this one looks interesting so, I think I may have to watch the first two soon for sure
I definitely will, it’s a total shame on me for being a big zombie apocalypse genre fan and not watching especially the first film that arguably alongside the Dawn of the Dead remake and Shawn of the Dead sort of ignited the fuse for the zombie craze that started in 2010 with The Walking Dead.
Firstly, I've seen people call this franchise a zombie franchise, but zombies are technically the undead, whereas the infected here are still alive, so they're technically not zombies. Anyway. This trailer is one of the best I've seen. It's truly disturbing and creepy, mainly thanks to the 1915 recording of 'Boots'. And some of the visuals are creepy. This trailer instantly made this film one of my most anticipated of 2025. And they've already gotten a second 28 Years Later film already shot, called The Bone Temple. Plus, it's insane this was shot on an iPhone 15 Pro Max.
@DevilFan669 I wonder what that entails. Alit of people said firefighters but that wouldn't make sense. Hopefully it's our first look at the Evil Deads Hell.
That opening scene of the kids watching teletubbies I feel like is gonna be a brutal scene
I don't care what anyone says. The opening to 28 Weeks Later is one of the most gut wrenching openings to a horror film ever made. This took way too long to make, but I understand why Garland and Boyle stepped away for awhile. It looks incredible. It also looks like the infected have had some evolution. Giants? Wow.
I have to agree, his wife staring out the window as he runs away gives me chills every time. And that music, wow.
I agree with you, Warlord. That was a tough opening to watch.
The opening scene in 28 days later messed me up as well.
That scene was pure evil and Suffering it scarred me for life even after all these years.
My dad helped build the sets on 28 days later near Cumbria,England. Seeing this trailer brought back memories for him.
Wow that's too cool.
My friend was an extra in it !!!
1:59 THE SHOT OF THE ZOMBIES RUNNING WITH THE BIG TREE AND THE SKY IN THE BACK...THAT IS BEAUTIFUL HORROR...Yea this is going to be a top 5 movie of 2025....Looks Insane.

That one infected on the right side that is not moving... so creepy!

It's haunting!
That looks amazing! That background voice is freaky af!
omg yes!
@ I looked it up. It’s a poem used by navy seals to psychologically torture people. It worked 🤣
It's the poem "Boots" by Rudyard Kipling, recited by actor Taylor Holmes which was recorded in 1915.
That damned poem is next level haunting. 😵💫
Looks awesome! Having Danny Boyle back is so amazing. Can’t believe this was shot on an iPhone 15 Pro Max (albeit with expensive lenses), but still, looks incredible.
Wow it looks incredible!
2:42 that zombie getting up looks like Cillian Murphy, although it's probably misdirect and he's just super emaciated and starving
I agree
I hope so 🙏🏽
Lol tell him. He better watch it a few more times and hopefully notice it. I mean it could not be him but that face is too recognizable.
I'm really hoping he's not a zombie in this.
@@DrumdumsOfficialit looked like him, but I truly think that would be a horrible choice…
We waited for more than 10 years. And it did not disappoint
28 weeks later is a great sequel. It actually was more sad and insane than the Dawn of the dead remake
Yes fantastic.
Jimmy is the name of the boy at the begining
Jimmy is written on a sign
Jimmy is carved into the hanging body

Great reaction Lee 👍👍👍
This looks fun, but heavy. It’s about time!
We might need to bring tissues to the theater haha.
It kind of gives a walking dead vibe.
My theory is that the virus evolved so the infected will eat
I also think the kid in the beginning could be Aron Taylor Johnson
I saw your post in the gram and was curious why you were so excited. The trailer looks crazy.....in a good way
Huge fan of this franchise.
Woke up for it too… can’t wait bro! I believe the other commenter here is correct, that zombie rising up was Cillian Murphy.
That’s just an assumption, no one involved with the film has actually confirmed it’s him. And they most likely won’t so that people can continue speculating

Filmed in my neck of the woods, primarily in Northumberland, the landscape is seriously beautiful.

The best possible reaction to something we were waiting to watch like a new movie trailer: silence. 😄

28 Days Later was the only one in the series to earn a spot in Bravo’s 100 Scariest Movie Moments
Can’t wait to see this movie Lee and it’s been 17 years now since the last one came out and this looks amazing and promising too brother
I also wonder how the subsequent film 28 Years Later Part II: The Bone Temple which has been directed by Nia DaCosta will turn out.
