No exaggerated drums, no random action cut to the beat, no overly dramatic slow cover of a pop song, and not showing the whole plot in 3 minutes... An amazing edited trailer.
@scesfizia yeah one of the posters has the tagline 'in 28 years it evolved' so interesting to see what happens there, though I'm hoping they don't go down the Army of the Dead route.
Sinners, Nosferatu and 28 years later are the best, most creepy, most eerie, incredibly well shot looking trailers of this year man. All 3 movies looks to be the best, most atmospheric horror flicks coming out.
The poem is called "Boots" written by Rudyard Kipling and the recital was done by Taylor Holmes. The recital itself is two and a half minutes long and really good.
The best shot of the trailer is the infected by the tree running towards the camera. It was so eerie and the background monologue throughout the trailer was chef’s kiss. 👌🏽
The Poem used in the trailer is called Boots Boots. Which is about the immense excruciating circumstances of South Africa invasion by United Kingdom. It is also used in special soldier training lets call it that
My mans talking about torture. The poem was written and performed in a way to induce anxiety and dread through grim monotony. The reality most soldiers felt marching day after day into war. This “song” will then go on to be used in some military’s training. To condition their soldiers to certain torture tactics
I work at a local news station in Wilmington, NC called WWAY TV NEWS. I was directing the broadcast when the producer added the trailer in th entertainment block. Watching the trailer and seeing the news anchor's reactions was hilarious.

In the beginning of the trailer, the woman refers to one of the children as Jimmy. So perhaps those children are more important than the trailer might lead us to believe
I lived in London England when 28 days later came out. I remember as a kid how scared I was of the grittiness of the camera effects and the spooky soundtrack when he’s running around the mansion. Just such an effective film for a 12 year old who’s not experienced zombie films to stumble across and being set in London scared me so much. If I was a kid watching 28 years later today that poem is the stuff of nightmares. Such an effective trailer.
This whole movie was shot on an iPhone. Which smartly could shrink that budget down in the most cost-effective way while still making it look exactly like the original.
I thought the poem was reading off that week's casualties, but it's actually about marching through Africa. When played on loop, the poem is used to condition soldiers against torture.
I’m among a minority of people who liked the second film, 28 Weeks Later, better than the first. And the fact that it ended on somewhat of a cliffhanger made me expect there to be a sequel much earlier than there was-all these years I was waiting for a 28 Months Later at some point.
This looks great, but the scariest thing about this trailer is how damn old it makes me feel! 😂 I'm like yeah it hasn't actually been 28 years...ooh, well, actually yeah, it still has been over 2 decades since I got the crap scared out of me watching the original. Damn that bony zombie is gonna be me in a few years! 😂
I was 12 when it came out originally and remember how much it scared me as an imaginative kid. Being set in England made it feel more gritty and scary then the walking dead does.
The opening of the trailer is what got me feeling old. Every family in the U.K. had a house that looked like that, seeing the kids sat in that room watching Tellytubbies on the old TV makes me lament my lost childhood just innocently watching CBeebies in the living room on our old green sofa
I think the first one was perfect as a one off. They aren't zombies, they're infected by a super strain of rabies. The infected were even dying off from starvation and dehydration.
Zombies don't necessarily have to be undead. They just have to be mindless or controlled as per Haitian voodoo rituals. So they're still technically zombies.
@@HulkMode365days Yes they were but they are outweighed by how bad and stale it got. To still be a fan of TWD you literally have to be a zombie. Also society just wouldn’t collapse with slow zombies, they are boring.

iPhone 15 pro can film a movie for sure, and it would honestly be a good idea for a movie like this with handheld shots and visual imperfections like the first film
