My experience when visiting japan autumn leaves is after 20th October when the leaves has changed colour earlier than that you may not see the country changing colour .
Great video as always Kengo-San. Congratulations on being featured on Business Insider! For me late September through the end of October is very definitely the sweet spot for Japanese travel, although March-April runs a close second. The beauty of fall in Japan for me is the opportunity for autumn colour in the north, whilst still having good warm weather in the south. For someone like me who travels around the country this is the best of both worlds!
This really helps as I’ll be in Tokyo from late October to early November. I also had no idea that there was a Japanese holiday in early November so that will be fun 😅
@@firefangz Thank you so much for your super support Ryuga san!!! I’m glad you liked the video! I’m really hoping you have an amazing second trip to Japan. Ask me anything. 🍁 Thank you again. :)
Thank you very much for this video! It is very helpful because I will be visiting Japan the last two weeks of October and now I know what to bring and the best places to go! ✨👍👍👍
Very very informative video. Thanks a lot from Mumbai. We are visiting japan for 13 days in the first week of November. Hopefully we will enjoy proper falliage.
As always your videos are the most informative in RUclips. Wr are planning on going to Takayama and Kamikochi in October and might also try to go to Kurobe Tateyama as well. This video is ver helpful.
Hu hu back in 2017 I went early of October but this year I will be visiting on 2nd week of September due to semester break hope my trip will be wonderful 😎
Always informative and watching your videos make me want to go to Japan the next day after watching your vids. 😂 Thank you for the videos, looking forward to Sapporo trip, will take a lot of recos from your video of Sapporo. All the best and looking forward to your next vid. 🙇♂️
Been there twice in the fall. It's lovely. The grapes are amazing. Massive, juicy, delicious. Worth the price. Fall is wonderful there except for the typhoons haha
Our first trip to Japan is late November (as we have to wait for our son to finish school) so unfortunately the autumn colours will probably be over and winter will close and we could get colder. We will be in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima and Kanazawa.
That's quite comprehensive. I love it! Do you have a guide into different autumn festivals, if any? We're going to Japan, around Yamanakako, on September 28 for a few weeks but I think that's a generally lull period. I'm looking for some insights on where to go around Kanto.
It might be a little late for many places, but you might see some late leaves in the city. You can check with the site Soda Kyoto Iko from previous year. Have a great trip in Kyoto. :)
Hi Ken, I really love all your videos about japan. I plan to go back there for autumn. If I go on 24Nov to 2 Dec, is it possible to see the peak pf autumn leaves in kyoto an tokyo? thankyou
Hi kenchan, we are planning to visit japan in first week of November, and we will be visiting tokyo, fuji, kyoto, osaka, will we be able see the autumn colors during the time?
I'm planning to return to Japan in mid-November for about 16 days, maybe I'll travel the last week of November. I want to go to Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Tokyo, Lake Kawaguchi and Hakone. I am interested in the autumn season, especially Kyoto, Nara, Lake Kawaguchi and Tokyo. How do you advise me to organize my itinerary? I was thinking of staying 4 days in Osaka, 4 days in Kyoto, one night at Lake Kawaguchi and 7 days in Tokyo.
What’s happened to the Japanese Yen ? It has strengthened significantly over the last couple of weeks. I had reached 206 to the GBP but now it is only about 193. I should have snapped some up at 206 but I thought it might weaken further.
I am planning to visit Japan this year in the month of November with my wife and 20 months old baby. We have two options : Nov 8-18 or Nov 15-25. Which one do you think would be better considering the fall season, the cold weather, crowds etc? Thanks in advance.
It's getting cooler now but still in the weather of short sleeve. It might be still not that cold in 2 weeks, but I'm sure it can get cooler in Kawaguchiko. It might be a little too early for Fall foliage but you probably see the subtle signs of start of color change. :)
Last year, my friend insisted on taking me to Korankei Gorge on Nov. 18 for autumn leaves viewing, but it was underwhelming. The place is still pretty though. I had more success in seeing beautiful colors later in the month as I went around from Matsumoto to Kyoto/Nara prefectures. This time, I'll be back on the latter half of October to visit the Tohoku area. It'll be nice if I see some autumn leaves, but if not, that's fine also. Looking forward to eating gyutan and drinking nihonshu.

Been there twice in the fall. It's lovely. The grapes are amazing. Massive, juicy, delicious. Worth the price. Fall is wonderful there except for the typhoons haha
Yes, grapes are amazing, especially Kyoho(巨峰)🍇. It's usually very nice in Autumn, but Typhoon can be severe. But every Typhoon brings extra Autumn.🍁

can i still see red leaves in Koyoto around early december?

Yes, it is said Japanese government is trying to stop it going cheaper. I wonder where it goes. 🧐
Long sleeves at 25 degrees? I tend to switch around19-20😅

I have my flight booked to Osaka from early to mid November , although not peak folliage, but will I still see colourful leaves during these 2 weeks ?
will it be cold in around oct 14? are there already fall leaves in kawaguchico at that time? I think I booked to early 😅

i just booked tickets to Tokyo for end of Nov- start of Dec. Any advise or tips. im scared I've missed the window for autumn leaves
I think Tokyo's Autumn leaves is around the time you visit. You might be able to catch up with late Autumn leaves when you go surrounding areas. 🍁

Is fall foliage called Momiji?
@@robertgentile7198 Momiji is a specific tree Japanese Maple🍁. Fall foliage is called “Koyo” but same characters as Momiji. 紅葉
