@@djtiger7729 He's a voice actor who's done a lot of works on cartoons, anime and video games. He's done Transformers voices too from Starscream in Transformers Prime and Wheeljack in the Bumblebee movie.

@@nauticaxo1 sorry but nah, movie 1 Starscream sounded real generic. Starscream sounds much more distinct and like himself in movies 2 and 3. That said, Charlie Adler is a great Starscream too.

These cutscenes give me hope, the characterization is on point and Steve Blum’s delivery is on point, and the person doing Optimus is doing a good impression of Peter Cullen. Also setting up the fact that shockwave may betray the group is great since we don’t see him doing that in most mainstream continuities.
I have a feeling that they may do a bait and switch in that Starscream isn’t going to betray them. Also an extended version of this cutscene should have been the trailer for the game instead of what we got.

@@BobbyBigManJon Bailey is better as Shockwave and Soundwave, as the Bumblebee movie has proven. But yes, he’s simply not suited for Optimus Prime.
For anyone curious this isn’t actually Steve or the other voice actors from previous Transformers films/shows. Most of these are actually stand-in voice actors who are used for early test footage like this before the real voice actor comes in. This allows for the animators to time the scenes correctly and what not.

@@Adler5430 It’s not actually Steve Blum you can look it up. Both him and Peter Cullen have been hired for the game, but you can clearly hear it’s not them. The stand-in actors have a very obvious vocal overlay.

Nope it's definitely Steve Blum I recognize Prime Starscream's voice well. But You're definitely correct on Optimus, I do know a bit about that voice, a youtuber with a parody Optimus voice.

@@joshuaromerogonzalez945Jon's definitely not on the same pedestal as Peter, but that is Peter's opinion in the end. It doesn't reflect everyone's. Plus he's not going to be around forever, we will have to move on at some point, so hating on Jon just because of his impression won't help.

Man Starscream concerned with Shockwave's lack of morality and admiration for efficiency of an opposing force is pretty cool for both their characterizations.

All I ask is a good campaign and a great multiplayer experience personally the last great transformers game we got was Fall Of Cybertron
PLOT TWIST: Starscream will be the loose cannon and “token evil teammate” of the group but ultimately WON’T betray the Autobots and humanity
Just wishful thinking on my part, but it seems agonizingly too predictable for Screamer to turn tail and I’m honestly bored to death of the backstabber archetype every incarnation keeps fostering. If he’s gonna be a playable character we’re gonna want to root for him so At least give him a redeemable arc like Armada’s Starscream, while still giving him all the slyness and viciousness of the classic Steven Blum Prime-continuity Screamer we know, love and grew up with !
Maybe the Quintessons will be the main baddies

Toy listings for the game (back when it was called Rise and not Reactivate) even gives us a bit of info from a 2 pack that includes Optimus Prime and Soundwave. Yes the Quintessons are behind this invasion and the Autobots and Decepticons have to team up to defeat the Quintessons before they conquer the universe

@@natek4488 my guess would be they’re mainly targeting any planet with Cybertronians on them and since Earth is the new hotspot for the Autobots and Decepticons to continue their war, that’s the prime target for the Quintessons to invade with their Legion.
I’m not sure if i trust shockwave. We’ve all seen what he’s capable of as a scientist and a warrior and I don’t even have to mention starscream. I feel like they would be a hiccup in the fight for the future of earth

I hear Steve Blum voicing reactive’s starscream with Peter Cullen voicing Optimus prime.
Steve Blum is voicing the G1 starscream from his prime incarnation & Peter Cullen is still staying with Optimus prime as his G1 incarnation.
So reactive has more G1 put in due to the autobots & cons appearance with animated’s slipstream. As bumblebee & ratchet’s appearance is altered for reactive’s theme.
Except that it’s not Cullen, it’s Jon Bailey

For me, it's either between Steve Blum and Frank todaro. it's really difficult to say which voice I like better. Both have great interpretations of his voice but I'm happy to see Steve Blum nonetheless

I’m questioning the fact that Optimus addressed them as transformers and not cybertronians, just sounds off, other than that looks pretty good, but why can’t we have another piece of transformers media like the cybertron games where there are no humans

I've often wondered why they do that, but I figure from a business standpoint, it's easier for people to think that kids and adults relate more to referring them to the brand name rather than lore accurate names.
I’m confused about Optimus prime ( Peter Cullen) saying the cybertronions are transformers & it doesn’t feel right to me. it’s a different saying for reactive’s story. As reactive address the bots & cons as transformers. I know the bots & cons are cybertronions.
Literally nobody had a problem with human characters until Bayformers lol. If they're not in disguise on Earth they're not really Transformers.

The Optimus VA is a stand-in for testing purposes. Peter Cullen will be the final VA for Optimus in this game.
@@hyeri2429 Exactly. Peter is currently busy with recording for Rise of the Beasts, so it makes sense to have a stand in for audio and dialog testing purposes until he's able to record properly

Epic voice guy doesn't even do a Optimus voice he just does his normal voice and sound mildly like Optimus. I would understand in a mobile game or some arcade machine but they keep embarrassing themselves with how bad the voice direction and casting is time after time
