Really nice piece of equipment, awesome that a company like that can set the standards higher. Digitally controlled analog gear is what we need and Wes Audio does it for most of their gear for a reasonable decent price. I also love their 500 titan rack that has ethernet and usb to control the units. My guess is that if the bigger brands would implement these options they would charge a lot more money for it.

great video! i also have one. two questions: have you ever tried serial compression with a hardware 1176 and 2A? if so, how do you generally like to approach that with vocals?
Yes I have. I do that a lot. I like the results, especially on vocals
Good video thank you!. I am interested in Wesaudio gear but not sure if to start with a 500 series because of the various compressor I can add. How this 1176 compares to the Mimas 500?
The NG76 has way more features and is way more flexible. I Don't own the Mimas, so I cant tell you much about the sound.

They both sound like a good 1176. The Wes audio is way more flexible.

I'll stick with a traditional type 1176 but I'm a traditional analog guy...but to each their own
