the thing is, linktree is so mainstream that people would just assume you have one, and if they see something else in bio they might not click, and this is way more a problem than having a cheap design imo

Think like a consumer. If they like your stuff, then the linking service is the last thing someone will judge you on as long as it has your links and its easy to navigate thats all you need. Worry about making it look fancy when you have a huge fan base and fan afford it.
Koji was great. Every time a service I use gets acquired and enshitified, I get closer to setting up my own server

In all seriousness, took your advice on Rivet and now that it’s paid, for the price point, I definetly feel like the “upcoming” features might be hundreds of dollars later if we continue to use it. Want to be optimistic but only time will tell. Gonna have to explore Beacons & Later even further now. Thanks for the tips, as always 🙏🏽👑🚀
