  • Yup, it's simply called "Wood Coaster!" But don't let the title fool you, this ride is incredibly FAST, long, and awesome! Check out several different angles shot on the ride. Filmed & Edited by Robb Alvey - www.themeparkre... - / themeparkreview - note GCI calls this ride "Mountain Flyer"

    If this were in the U.S it would get all the hype. It would probably be considered the best GCI or even one of the best Woodies out there. What I'm trying to say is that this is extremely underrated.

    • @mammon310
      @mammon310 8 лет назад +19

      +CoasterGlitch I don't get it either, the Chinese are known for building good tracks, they built a bunch of them in the USA for a reason, also because they were practically slaves.

      It was a joke, like we used them as slaves and blew them up to build railroad tracks in the 1800's, LOL!

    I love how so many chinese coasters have ridiculously long, descriptive names and this one is just called "Wood Coaster."

    • @bobsquires4521
      @bobsquires4521 7 лет назад +10

      I bet it is tongue-in-cheek. "Let's create arguably the worlds finest roller coaster, name it a very mundane name, 'wood coaster' and see how ridiculous all the criticism will be and how they missed the pun. It's like calling the first Superman movie, Guy. lol And, not to mention, it might lose something in the translation. I don't know Chinese (the language-with its intricate characters.)

    • @TylerPCoyne
      @TylerPCoyne 6 лет назад +7

      There are actually some cases when a GCI is given two names for one coaster, this is one of them. So it’s not just called Wood Coaster, it’s also called Mountain Flyer, which is still a somewhat short name for a pretty long and intense wooden coaster

  • @fattymcbastard6536

    This thing has got to be one of the most aesthetically impressive coasters in the world. It's just stunning to look at. The way it's just nested into the forested hillside is beautiful, and the track layout with all the twists and banks and crossovers makes it interesting and menacing. Sooo much better than the ol' standard straight track of airtime hills & turnarounds parked on a flat concrete slab.

    I've added it to the description, but the ride is not called Mountain Flyer, it's called just "Wood Coaster" - there was also a sign that called it "Wood Coasters" but most of the signage in the park was simply "Wood Coaster."

      Shoot, it would be top 3 woodies in the u.s. in the golden tickets i bet. This looks insane. But theres a lack of awareness in the stages for chinese coasters. It's hard to find videos about them or povs. Its just not readily available like the european and japanese coasters are. But given that china has more coasters than any other country I would love to be able to see them more easily. Too bad I'll probably never get a ride on them.

    • @nicom8784

    • @TrololzillaOG
      @TrololzillaOG 9 лет назад +2

      Dennis Siple No clue. It could very well have to do with the fact that it is a terrain coaster, and basically tore through the forest as it did. Perhaps it's in a protected area, or the wood needed to come from a certain place.

Asia is so underrated when it comes to golden ticket awards and even awareness in the states. I'll admit, outside of japan I have no clue what coasters are in Asia and apparently theres more in asia than any continent by far. my favorite part of these videos is when they all, in sync, go "woahhhh" or "heyyyyyy" on the rides. to me, it's so funny.

    What a badass coaster and an awesome video of people just loving the ride!!! No stupid screaming girls like every other POV seems to have.
