There's a beautifulmoment at the end, when she has just finished singing and slowly steps back from the microphone, where she seems so shaken and vulnerable. It's almost like she has a separate stage persona that is capable of this beautiful and artistic expression and once it's job was done, it left and the normal, everyday Aurora finds herself stood on a stage with everyone applauding her and she isn't completely sure if it was her that did it. It's like what athletes call the 'flow state.' You perform without thinking.
Watching Aurora isn't an experience. It's so so so much more than that. I cannot even find a word to describe it. Not only is the music she creates and sings phenomenal but she takes you on such a journey. She pulls you along into HER world, the world she's created for/of that song. When she starts to sing it's like everything else around her disappears and she goes into the world she created. At the end of this performance when everyone was clapping, it was like she came out of a trance back to "reality" and had this vulnerable look on her face. She truly shakes me to my core. Magnificent!
Great reaction! Fun fact: Billie Eilish has said in a couple of interviews that it was after watching the music video for Runaway, that she wanted to pursue a music career. The video has now got over 100 000 000 viewes. It's also gotten really popular resently. It's top 40 on Spotify globaly at the moment. Probably thanks to tiktok. Some suggestions, were her voice gets to shine: Through the eyes of a child -(live VEVO UK lift, it's a cappella, and with harmonies out of this world), It happened quiet (live at the current, her a guitar and a backing singer) and Murder song (live at the nobel peace prize concert, her a guitar and backing singer)
Thank you for your comment! 😁 Hope you will be at my new PTX Premiere of a reaction video tomorrow? Set your reminder and ring the bell for notifications. See you in the chats!
The best thing about Aurora is she sounds like herself, not like someone else or trying to sound like everyone else out there. That is what makes her one of the top 1% of the singers out there. Music is so full of cookie cut singers who all sound like each other.
🏃🏻♀️hank you again for presenting another wonderful artist and her song! To wake up to Aurora plus Maggie combined in one video really was a happy moment... 😉 I have the idea you two might deliver a phantastic performance as a duo - although you are contrasting strongly, you seem to have a similar approach to artistic expression per se. The optical contrast between Aurora's pale complexion and your dark hair would be a nice touch too, it seems to reflect what I mean: that Aurora and you seem to be like two sides of definitely the same medal. THAT would be a conceet I definitely need to attend! 😍
Great reaction! I sub to hear more Aurora. Maybe Through the eyes of a child or anything from Nidarosdomen consert. This consert is the best ever.... In Nidarosdomen (cathedral) Aurora (160cm tall) has her band, Oslo Fagottkor (choir), strings (including harp) and the massiv pipe organ (10.000 pipes) to back her up.... And the sound guys did a fantastic job to get the soundlevels right....
I saw you did this and IMMEDIATELY clicked on it! That song gives off MAJOR Harry Potter vibes to me and helps me get through some of my darkest days ... 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
Come on people:) Stop being so butt-hurt for no reason and you might learn something. Music is art, not a competition. She was simply highlighting similarities in the timbre of voice of the singers and how it fits with the arrangement of the music. And educating you about how/why that is a production choice/style in modern pop music and her opinion on why it works for these two artists. It was actually a very interesting observation to someone like me who geeks out about music and production. Absolutely no one likes the elitist fans and their bickering , particularly not the artists themselves because it actually makes them look bad..and they kind of have to apologize for their own fans.
I can't recommend Murder Song (5,4,3,2,1) enough! A really emotional performance at the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert (It is one of her beautifully sad songs) Her Music video of Apple Tree is also really good (A song about the power of the individual) And no list of Aurora highlights would be complete without mentioning: The Seed at the HAIK Concert 2019 (Powerful song about preserving Nature)
Nice reaction! I’d highly suggest reacting to Murder Song at this same Nobel Peace Prize concert. Beyond that, anything like at Nidarosdomen, HAIK, and KEXP. Especially Lucky at Nidarosdomen.
It is remarkable the musical talent that is coming out of Scandinavia these days as well as not too distant Holland. I once despaired that after about 1980, genuinely creative music was in the hands of a short list of artists and the rest was either heavily derivative clones of what came before or overproduced junk. In the last decade I have been seeing and hearing the real thing - very good music that is pushing the limits in concept and content and style. And it seems that, excluding the several top notch a capella groups around, a whole lot of today's good stuff is coming from that corner of the world. For me, the ''golden era' of classic rock was 1964 through 1977. The best music of that time period - and there is a LOT of it - is still being played frequently and appreciated by their back then fans over 40 and 50 and more years later. I used to wonder how much of current music will be still listened to half a century from by their fans of today.. We just might be hearing that kind of music now.
@@maggiereneemusic You started waving at the end of live streams right after your reaction to 15 year old Amira Willighagen doing a Sound of Music medley. I commented that the little girl wave at the end of a performance was her trademark.
The reason this song suits Aurora is because she wrote it. In this concert from 2015, at the beginning of her career, Aurora is a shy young girl (at the press conference she was somewhat intimidated by the famous people present and the enormity of the occasion, so she took a pine cone with her to help her feel grounded). To see her development as an artist, move on to the Nidarosdomen (Trondheim Cathedral) concert of 2017, where she is a vision from a Botticelli masterpiece and each song is thoroughly enchanting (the stand out in the overall excellence is "Through The Eyes Of A Child"). Then the HAIK concert of 2019 (filmed in the forest where Aurora played in her childhood), where she is a forest sprite and the entire performance is magical. From this, choose either "The River" or "Daydreamer" to see her smile and dance joyously. Also take a look at some of the interviews she has done, her banter with audiences and her live streams of recent months, her personality is as unique as her performances (Aurora is honest, thoughtful, intelligent, wise, witty, funny, cheeky, a little risque at times, playful, innocent but not naive and thoroughly individual).
Two things about Aurora that you didn't touch on in this video: 1) Many of us find an ancient spirituality in her performances, particularly Nordic and Celtic spiritual qualities (no, not Wagnerian, and not quite New Age, either), 2) She gave herself emotionally and physically to the performance; she was exhausted at the end of the song. Oh, and home where you once belonged may be where you're headed to, but haven't been to, yet. Some of us call it heaven, but there are other names from different faiths.
Great reaction, thanks! When you take in that she was only 19 at this performance.. That presence and confidence... You should check out Murder song at the same concert, it is great! Other suggestions, anything from Nidarosdomen concert, with a whole symphonic orchestra and a choir. Or It happened quit, vevo. Infections of a different kind, from Haik concert. There are so many to choose from!
And the druids turned to stone by Ayreon from the Ayreon Universe live concert Twisted coil by Ayreon from the ‘The electric castle live and other tales ‘ live concert The singer is Damien Wilson (Headspace) You’ll be amazed
Lewis Carroll may well have been writing about Aurora. To experience her music is to fall down the rabbit hole to Wonderland. Further to the other suggestions - The River, The Seed and Running with the Wolves 🏃🏻♀️🐺 are wonderful. 8:24 You should watch some of her interviews and find out just how unafraid she is (especially her Like a Version interview)
what's interesting to me is i can see the vocal and musical similarity between AURORA and Lights by Ellie Goulding - and it's also the only Ellie Goulding song I've heard by her that I like.. I wouldn't have thought of that though, thx for pointing it out!
Nice reaction. (I believe Aurora always has a great sound around her, I'm not sure which performances you're referring to when you said "finally"). She's used a lot of the same musicians over the years that blend with her style perfectly, and the great sound people she uses for live events hit the ball out of the park every time, imho.
Lovely reaction Maggie! I'm not sure what other Aurora songs you have heard but her live performances like this one are very very good. I would suggest "It Happened Quit" live at the Current or "Through the Eyes of a Child" stripped (Live) - Stripped (Vevo UK LIFT). Also, since her performances of the same song somewhat different each time I would suggest watching both of these songs performed at the Nidarosdomen Concert as well. She also does some awesome covers such as "Teardrop" by Massive Attack, God is a Woman by Ariana Grande and "Believer" by Imagine Dragons. She puts her own unique stamp on each of them.

A lot of good repeat recommendations here. Hi! Can you also react to SB19? They are from the Philippines. They just uploaded their latest MV entitled WHAT❓ the leader wrote, compose and co-produce the song. the youngest is the creative director and all of them choreographed the song too :) Fun fact: according to a friend of the production they have limited budget for this MV. The production is All Filipino. The scene on desert is actually Lahar , volcanic mudflow and not sand. All of it was shot Here in the Philippines. Crazy how she wrote this when she was eleven
I tried to comment some Song suggestions but my comments disappeared shortly after posting them. Are they being held for review or is it not allowed to include links? What am I doing Wrong?
Edit: It appears the Comment was blocked because of the links as it stayed visibel after I re-postet it without the links.

@@maggiereneemusic Thank you Maggie for noticing me and giving me an answer back. I've written to many "reactors" suggesting songs and sadly not many off them respond at all. I know most off them have alot off followers and that I am just a small voice, but it means alot to be heard. Specially when you know you have something worth checking out. So thank you! Be safe!

Hi! Can you also react to SB19? They are from the Philippines. They just uploaded their latest MV entitled WHAT❓ the leader wrote, compose and co-produce the song. the youngest is the creative director and all of them choreographed the song too :)
Fun fact: according to a friend of the production they have limited budget for this MV. The production is All Filipino. The scene on desert is actually Lahar , volcanic mudflow and not sand. All of it was shot Here in the Philippines.
If you want to know their vocal skills try watchinng their Live performance of their ballad Song Tilaluha on TM Pusuan
LOL! Thank you for your lovely comment. Hope to see you TONIGHT at my LIVE stream?

Please, listen cower of this song by Daneliya Tuleshowa!
Check out cultural inspiration in avatar the last airbender there really great videos
The reincarnaition of Dolores Riordan?
Does she remind anyone else of Bjork?
‘She needs to do more sesongs like this’....... Unlike american ‘popstars’ she does not have a kabahl of songwriters, she writes her own music. Thats what makes her interesting. Create your own art, If not - you are not an artist...
just a thing sorry but know them both
I like what you had to say. EXCEPT hope you compare Aurora to Ellie Goulding is being me. Aurora has more talent in her pinky nail
12? Youngsters CAN do great things. Think of Angelina Jordan arranging her songs, like I Put A Spell On You, where ,in the studio session, she hands the band master her final notes of how she, "The Boss", wants them to play; her "wishes.'
Courtney Hadwin, Emme Beshers.
i'm weak compared to her voice, she just touches the buttons we can argue with simplicity let us humans Judge you v her
It's not hip=sing.. It's her accent. A bit offended by the comparison to Ellie Goulding.
yodel? what tf... you claim to be a opera singer. but cant tell from another part of the world? yeah, i sang opera one time, so I'm a professional opera singer, and a professional hokey player, skier, ski jump, carver, skater, speaker, wtf.. you cant do the research to know the origins of yodel regions. WOW!
Sorry to say, but you need to wash your ears pretty good to compare the voice of Ellie Goulding and Aurora, both are good, but no resemblance.
lass know better try love
Yeah, I get your E.G. reference...but she can`t touch Aurora in any ways,... You might`ve been to analytical here. imho...
