I went on the Tokyo Experience trip with EF Ultimate Break in October. This was my very first international trip, and trip with EF. I went to NYC for the first time this year as well. I have the Munich City Experience, and Japan: Tokyo and Beyond trips scheduled with EF Ultimate Break next year, and I'm also trying to plan another trip to NYC. I really enjoyed following your journey through South Korea. It is a blessing to be able to have the time to travel! With so many trips that you have taken, I am curious to pick your brain: How do you personally choose which place to go first? Also, how do you afford to take as many trips, especially with being in between jobs right now? I know the Ambassador program helps, but with expenses outside of there, what is your strategy? Is there anything you wish you would have known/done differently before traveling in 2023, and have you learned anything new about yourself since traveling this year, with EF Ultimate Break or other trips? Sorry to ask so many questions! I am inspired by you and your trips, and woulld love to be able to travel more in the future.

Thank you for the kind words! Have so much fun in Japan and hopefully NYC next year! I truly feel blessed to have traveled so much this year. When it comes to deciding where to go I just have some countries that are on top of my list and I prioritize them! There's not really a method to it, it's just me going to the countries I naturally feel most excited to visit. When it comes to finances my EF trips are fully covered by bookings I get through RUclips and I cut on other expenses such as rent as I live at home with family currently. When it comes to things I wish I knew before traveling was to plan things a bit earlier and if there are free days to research and possibly book some things ahead of time. For example, I wish I had gone to a rhino sanctuary with some other EF people on our free day in Kenya but I didn't plan ahead and it was sold out. Traveling is rewarding but also hard being aboard on your own so I learned that I can handle difficult situations (like canceled flights or lost luggage) and I gained confidence in myself. I also continued to love spending time on my own and embracing my independence. There was some time in between double-booked EF trips when I was completely alone in a foreign country. Thanks for asking all your questions. I hope I answered them all well!

@@KatherineMichelleYT Do you have any tips on what to bring or don't bring when visiting?

@@iheartsushi90 it’s been a while so I don’t have too specific of tips. I’d say pack layers and a light raincoat but don’t over pack. It’s a hard balance sometimes and I’m horrible at packing still 😂
