    Nice tutorial. I'm gonna try this. But can you please tell why do you multiply by 5?

    How long should this take to make? I’ve just given it a go, my first ever thing I’ve made! But I feel I was working pretty quickly… it took me ages though 😂 I’m not sure if I’ve pulled each knot too tight 🤔 looks fab though!!

      This was in white I believe but either would work. You can also make it with coloured rope, whatever you fancy!

    Hello I'm a beginner and I want to make a leash for my 🐕 can you explain why did you multiply 5×60.

    • @kourtsunday
      @kourtsunday 3 года назад

      Probably so it would be 5ft that’s my guess! 🤷🏽‍♀️

      Hi Marilyn 😊 That's a great question! Basically when you make your knots you're shortening the length of the rope. So in order to get the length of lead you want you need to times each length by 5 because by the time you've done all the knots your lead will be 5 x shorter. I hope that makes sense a little bit!

    Can you please list where you find the rope, I can't find 4mm anywhere?

      For sure! Amazon is really good for cotton rope. Here’s a link for a 4mm rope :

    I don’t get it...so you need 2 300 inch macrame ropes to make this? Isn’t 300 inches kinda much? Please help much love from Australia xoxoxo 💕

    • @OhSoHygge
      @OhSoHygge  2 года назад

      Hi Victoria! Yes I know it sounds like a lot! But don't worry, once you start making the knots the length will get shorter and shorter 😊 Good luck!

    If I want the lead to be wider how would I do that ? Because my lobster claw clasp is a rectangle at the base and is about 1 inch wide

    • @zarmpson
      @zarmpson 3 года назад +1

      Using thicker rope would make it wider

    • @OhSoHygge
      @OhSoHygge  2 года назад

      Hi! Yes Zarmpson is correct, you can either use thicker rope or you can add more strands in. This however would create a slightly different pattern. Hope this helps 😊

    What's the purpose of the D ring on the handle?

    • @OhSoHygge
      @OhSoHygge  3 года назад +4

      Some dog leashes have this ring so that you can attach a poop bag dispenser 😊

    • @OhSoHygge
      @OhSoHygge  2 года назад

      Hi Arne! It might be down to how tight/loose you're making your knots. It doesn't matter too much though as you can always cut off the excess 😊 If you're finding yourself running out of rope then you can either make a shorter leash or cut longer pieces. Hope this helps!
