I live in Komatipoort and these drivers have been stuck in swelting heat reaches temperatures of 44 degrees Celsius in the shade. NO food, no water, no bathroom facilities and no security. They are targeted at night and are putting their lives at risk for cargo that is not there own. Sadly the very people that voted in Mozambique have been allowed freedom to cross the border freely, but the truck drivers are being held as political hostages. Where is the humanity? The protest was to end on Wednesday with the agreement in place that the trucks could cross after 4 pm daily. This is not the case, as of Saturday morning 7 am no trucks have been allowed to cross. The trucks stuck at the border were already enroute to the border under the impression that they could be released. Now a week later, they are still stranded. Abandoned and left to suffer by the side of the road.

This is shocking! What is wrong with our Government and that of Mozambique makes you sick how they feel nothing for the Citizens of this Country or anyone else for that matter.
