- Morissette is in possession of a whistle register - of which the timbre is bright, biting and piercing- she is able to sing melisma and long phrases within it.
Some of you may have noticed that not all performance of Mowie that had a chest to whistle transition was in the video. I just chose the well executed whistles she accessed in different songs she sang.
This was requested by someone (I forgot his/her name 😂) Anyway, thank you for requesting and I'm sorry if it took too long for me to upload another video this week 😅

Her vocal range is 4 octaves and 5 notes. C3-A7
Weigh Swing oh you meant the one where she made an intentional voice break in asias song fest. I dont think that includes her range because even jessie j hits those as she also does voice breaks but that doesn’t mean she can sing in that key. So apparently that does not include her range because anyone can squeak at that note when given an unexpected shock or anger hehe. Still a fan of her though
Wurbey Timbal actually, it needs to be included as she can still reach that high note. Her highest note ever hited is A7. That's a squeak.

@Black & White I feel like the D8 must be included in her range kasi according to her naman, she uses the same technique she uses from chest to whistle sa squeaks. So yung squeaks niya parang chest to whistle na rin pero brief lng.

What? Have you not seen Mariah's Love Takes Time, Emotions, We're not Making Love, and a lot more. This is why I hate to see Morisette's videos which consists of commentary of Morisette's fans who did not search or at least try to learn first before commenting and just bash Mariah who is the queen and even might inspire your fave. Please, I love Morisette and really admire her. However, she's not perfected her whistle control and I really keen on her development along the year. She has been improving but please, Mariah mastered this earlier than her and is far greater than her in her prime. Because of that, please don't just bash about Mariah's lip synching because even she has been whistling live a lot this year.
gurl even guinness world records recognized mariah carey's voice. she hit the highest note ever and thats why they declared her as 'Songbird Supreme' until georgina brown broke the record but the title as 'songbird supreme' always remained to mariah.
morisette is nasal and she can't control her low notes and lacks of technique when it comes to whistles.
minnie is the pioneered of whistles but mariah popularized the whistle and she introduced it on the mainstream music thats why she is the queen of whistles.
