  • This is a guide on How to build a 7-segment Decimal Display Driver. It also has ripple blanking and negative functions.
This is PART 4 in my series, where I am learning how to build a computer from scratch.
I am making these videos because I found it very hard to find any Logic Gate Level diagrams when I started. Sebastian Lague and Ben Eater are the only good resources I've found.
Hopefully, these videos will help future builders.
The program I am using is Digital Logic Sim, created by Sebastian Lague.

Honestly... where do u even get this? i have been struggling for LITERAL DAYS and this is so simple yet it works completely fine. Hats off to you, mister.

Where did I get what? And thank you for the compliments. I've found it really hard to find good info on building computer chips. So I decided to make videos and share what I learn as I learn it.

Its litterly one good tutorial what i find for the wekk of searching tutorials for logic gates and its good!
    Thann you so much!

Yeah, I know that now. But this video is old.

      Thank you.
And this is the simplest version of each circuit that I was able to figure out. I didn't have any background in computers until I started this hobby about a year ago.
So this is the simplest version of each thing I am capable of building using DLS.
Maybe in the future I'll be able to learn better or different ways. But info on how to build CPU from scratch is pretty scarce from what I've been able to find.

@@ajax123z yeah finding info on how to make a CPU is hard to find nice tutorials btw

@@yyhhttcccyyhhttccc6694 strait up out of spite for how hard it has been to find good usable information I decided to make RUclips videos for the things I wish I could have found easier. Just to make it a little easier for the next person hopefully.

Can you please make it easier?

I don't know an easier way to make this. what do you mean easier? I'm sorry. I'll try to learn a new method and then make a video in the future.

It's almost impossible to make this....

It's really not, tho. I've made this same 7 segment driver several times. Again, I don't know any simpler ways to make it. All of the other ways use dozens of more logic gates. Again I'm sorry.
