@KarlSurmila I'd have to see it to maybe be able to fix the problem. Will your display only display up to 128 and nothing else, or will it display negative -128 to positive 127. The number 128 should be negative. If you have all 8 bits high, then it should display negative 1. It should be using 2's compliment.

Is the Negate chip a nececary thing or could you let it out theoretically?
The negate chip is just so you can display negative numbers. You don't have to use it.

Hello!, ive had a problem after fixing the blanking neg drive, it only displayed 128 instead of the normal 255 i had before
