We Americans will do anything for travel except a functioning high speed rail lol
Flight doesn't require eminent domain
Thats so True one of the boggling aspect of the US tbh
These air taxis make high speed rail obsolete.
@@bashfullJ88 you’re just moving traffic to the sky lol
@@roentgen822 then that means less people on the road.
I'm gonna strap a lawn chair to a large drone and yolo myself around town.
I swear the only thing the US needs is proper interstate and intercity high speed railways.
it would bankrupt alot airlines & Boeing so they are the biggest lobbyists not to let it hapens. US govt & state govt are run by corporations & public unions so it design to maximize their profit and wallet.
yes, good luck imminent domaining the public to make this happen.
When I was a boy in the 1970s, the flying car, which was just about to revolutionise the commute, was a regular feature on TV. But the concept never "took off".
It looks like these flying taxis are the same kind of thing, because I have been seeing videos about Dubai's flying taxis for six years now, and they never seem to get beyond the concept phase.
Under no circumstance does it take 1 hour to get to sfo from downtown. I've lived here for 12 years, it takes 15 minutes in normal traffic and 30 minutes in rush hour....
I don't get it , the bloody thing is bigger than a helicopter that does the same job for many many years
The Osprey 😬😱
@ABachelorsLife yep 😬
Yeah that's why I'm not fan of rotating wing aircraft... The best option is the Lilium Jet route with fixed engines in thin fixed wings that only pivot within a fixed housing...
We have this already, it's called a helicopter
1. This is safer 2. They are quieter 3. They are faster 4. They are all electric 5. They will replace all helicopters in the early 2030s
Now, this is more worthy of CNET. I declare that most CES 2024 coverage is just redundant tech that no one needs or cares for. LG's TV in a briefcase was the worst of the mediocre peddling to date.
100s of slight improvements on an already mastered technology.
Only thing I care about are robots, and flying cars
instead of losing 1h to airport, we'll lose 1h to go to the air taxi
Its an Uber taxi. It comes towards you
local vertiports and city/county owned airports will have shuttle service to fly you to bigger vertiports. Eventually you wont need your own vehicle. WIll save us all a ton of money and time when this industry is fully equipped and implemented.
They need to rethink the range - if they are SO capable, then they will be far more attractive for longer distances, city to city
may I know which email should be contacted to know more about this air taxi ? I would like to know about communcation system and the frequency radio used. thanks
This was natural way forward after drones are being used for transport and warfare . A couple of electric motors and a navigator is all what it needs.

If this plane is too noisy, it will not succeed.
it's noisy and fly very low
@@wellthi people are not going to tolerate that.
65 decibels is not that loud.
20 - 40 miles of range for a taxi? So that's one or two trips and then 10 hours of charging. How many $thousands will they have to charge their customers to make this profitable?
Charges in seven minutes
Meh, been seeing teases for this kind of thing for ten years. What else you got?
What do you do when the battery catches fyre midflight?
Can it fly around in high altitude cities?
What about really cold or hot weather?
That's a no for me with how kobe Bryant died
So the idea is to move traffic from the ground to the air. Won't the air just end up congested instead
😹...Well, drones, already have "proximity sensors"..& the A.i! most probably to control designated flight paths...or maybe most people in general, eventually learn! to use a "flight drone"..if not!..you could then just holla! Bruce Willis!🤣
Ehang is the best one. Absolutely 🚀🚀🚀
This is going to be for the rich for sure.
much more safe than helicopter
This is just an electric helicopter
Archer design????
I hope by then it's a very crowded market... I'm still putting my money on Lilium being THE vertijet of the future...
You misspelled and mispronounced helicopter 😅
Truth is it will be years to get certifications!!
This is really awesome invansion 😊
Let me know when this passes all its flight tests. I can’t see surviving stiff winds.
Make sure is it can’t be stolen with only a usb cord 😂
Hyundai can hardly make a combustion engine that doesn’t blow up or a car that doesn’t burn itself to the ground
They haven’t perfected that and we’re expected to be excited over them making flying fire starters
Living in the distant past? Hyundai has made major strides in design and reliability in the past 5 years. Those Hyundais you’re referring to are theta 2 engines that are no longer produced, ya numb nut. What have you done with your life?
현대 특정 엔진에 문제가 있었지만 다 그런것은 아니다. 그거 외에도 나는 품질 엉망인 미국차를 타느니 현대차를 타겠다.
You must miss with Chinese or Japanese cars 😂😂😂😂 keep trying but feel pity to you
@@JohnLee-db9zt when you revert to insults, you've already lost the debate.
9/11 air taxi version
Always just 3 years away 🙄… believe it when I 👀 it.
4*
Or you can sit in helicopter now and that mf will do the same thing.
This will NEVER HAPPEN. It's way too expensive for one, and there will never be approval for landing in random areas. Helicopters already provide everything these can, but when was the last time you ordered a helicopter Uber? FAA will never make your neighborhood or city street a legal or safe destination for this thing, and you couldn't afford a $10,000. Trip to the grocery store.
just great---yet more noise pollution that will add to the stress of humans.
how advance. not.
Lol, big grain
That's a whole lot of machine (and landing space) to move 4 people 40 miles. Is anyone on their team in charge of practicality, or are they just trolling auto shows at this point?
What a waste
A big drone, nothing special
Like you can build one. 😂
No. It is special.
Yes a big drone is special.. Can you fit on yours and fly around your trailer park? Didn't think so...
