Hello from France. Great walk, thank you ! Sapporo seems to be a brand new city compare to the other major cities in japan. There is a north american vibe to it (large streets, wide space...). But is there also 古い横丁 or more traditionnal 近所 ?
Sapporo is located in Hokkaido prefecture which is the biggest prefecture in Japan. One town to another sometimes is as far as Tokyo and Osaka. I think this may be the reason why you felt that everything is pretty big. Well you are not the only one. Even Japanese from the main land feel the same way too including me! 😄 Also it's a land of pioneers. Many people moved from the main land so it doesn't have an old history like Kyoto. But don't worry there are a lot of 横丁. After all people like to drink no matter where they are! 😄 Thank you very much for watching!
Sapporo indeed became a ward around 1880, relatively 'new' for a Japanese city. The reason it has a north American vibe to it is probably because it was decided to lay the roads in a grid pattern which is very common in north America.
I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm planning to upload a few new videos shot in Hokkaido and I hope you can enjoy them too. Thank you so much for watching! 😄
I’m glad you enjoy the video! Thank you so much for watching. By the way, I’m visiting Sapporo again next year. I hope they won’t cancel Snow Festival for 2023.
Don't worry. They have a 2.3km long underpass which is the 3rd longest in Japan. Even if you see no people on the street in winter, down there may be crowded! ruclips.net/video/Ese5kh7lg_I/видео.html Thank you so much for watching! 😄
Thank you very much for watching! I didn't know Sapporo was so popular until I made this video. A lot of people seem to miss it. I hope everything goes back to normal again soon!
Thank you very much for your compliment! I'm always trying hard to keep my camera steady but I couldn't do it without this one. scottymakesstuff.com/products/micro-pro-2-4th-axis
I don't remember this when I was there..but the alarm that sounds like a bird goes off when the light changes is for the blind?if so? Yet another reason Japan is the best, think of everything for the people!!!🇯🇵💖
Yes, you are right. The sound of alarm is universal in Japan and everywhere you go, major intersections have the same sound to let blind people know the signal is green.
I'm not very sure about the average rent in Sapporo so I checked on some real estate's websites. For a student, I checked studio apartments and they say average is ¥40,000 to ¥50,000. Then, you need to add utilities, food, transportation, phone bill etc and it will be around ¥100,000/per month. It can be more than that if you buy text books and all other necessary stuff for students. The info I checked may be old so please check for yourself too.
One thing that really shocked me in Sapporo was a bar. In the window, you could see young girls dressed as a bunny, trying to get customers. I found it was degrading for human being. My humble opinion.
Nah, that's just Japanese's cutural, called cosplay (Yes, it exist in other countries, but in Japan it's a popular culture). Although it is really embarressing and only meant for people with cosplay hobby, at best it will just be harrassment, not so much up to degrading for a human being. Basically, it's a normal thing in Japan. Hope this help.
I'm not sure if it was a cosplay or not, but Susukino is known as a big red light district for sure. Kabukicho in Tokyo has also been known as a red light district but these days it's becoming more like a general entertainment area. But Susukino on the other hand is still active in sex industry. If you read Japanese billboards, they are very explicit and I saw quite a few of them out of my hotel window in this trip too. Of course prostitution is prohibited by the law and none of those billboards are for the purpose but still kids are also walking by and I think they should regulate at least those billboards.

I use binaural microphones from Roland. You put them on on your ears to record the ambient sound. Thank you so much for watching! 😄
@@VSV_Japan On your ears?? How cool. Thanks so much! I'll check them out.

You are really good walking from Odari to Susukino. I'm just take a Namboku Line. Then, I'm walking from Susukino to Nakajima Park..haahhaa..(January 2019). I like the pedestrian crossing sound in Japan.
At first I thought about walking from Sapporo station all the way down to Nakajima Park but I had no energy... 😄 Maybe next time. 😄
Didn't have time,a lot of work. Couldn't do tourist things... However Sapporo is nice...plan on returning as a tourist and seeing a lot.👍🇯🇵💖🌸
Many people visit Sapporo during the Snow Festival season but my suggestion is summer! The weather is good and they hold a big beer festival in Odori Park. Although it was cancelled this year but even if you don't drink alcohol, there will be a plenty of food to eat! 😄
@@VSV_Japan I've seen, heard about the snow festival.. I'm planning to visit both summer and winter because the next time(year) I'll have lots and lots of time.pandemic pending..excited beyond belief..my life finishing dream is to discover all of JAPAN (bucket list)🇯🇵🌸⛩️🇯🇵🏯🚄🗾🎏🎑🍱🍙.just want you to know my deep feelings for your Nation and how'll it will fulfill my life at it's end💖🇯🇵❤️💖🌸🇯🇵💖❤️
Can't wait to visit and play the Persona 5 Strikers theme.
Thank you very much for watching! 😄
How do you edit those street label names on screen? The effect looks cool
Thank you very much for watching! I use a software called After Effects from Adobe to create the effect.

Can’t imagine Walking under snowfall in Sapporo at night ❤️
Don't worry. They have a 2.3km long underpass which is the 3rd longest in Japan. Even if you see no people on the street in winter, down there may be crowded! ruclips.net/video/Ese5kh7lg_I/видео.html Thank you so much for watching! 😄

@@VSV_Japan thank u so much!
@@VSV_Japan OMG,Japan gotta love it

As a student, how much money do i need to live there per month pls?
I'm not very sure about the average rent in Sapporo so I checked on some real estate's websites. For a student, I checked studio apartments and they say average is ¥40,000 to ¥50,000. Then, you need to add utilities, food, transportation, phone bill etc and it will be around ¥100,000/per month. It can be more than that if you buy text books and all other necessary stuff for students. The info I checked may be old so please check for yourself too.

scottymakesstuff.com/collections/on-sale/products/micro-pro-2-4th-axis ただ撮影中はどうしても目立ってしまいますね〜。この会社曰くもう少し小型の後継機を出す予定とのことなので、それが出たらどんなものか試してみたくなりますね〜。

Nguyễn Ba it wasn’t cosplay, more hostesses of the bar. And young
@@VSV_Japan Protecting children must be the priority of every country. They are the future of the nation, after all.
