We have 4 Rivians in my town that I know of. I have talked to the owners. They like them but are not going to run out and buy another unless some changes are made. Two readily admitted to having theirs in the shop often. The other two didn't mention it until I asked if they'd had to have various things repaired. None of them had the bed cover when we spoke, it sucked and they were removed and the system has not been fixed properly yet to their satisfaction. I could go on and on. They look nice, when they work they are nice, but get ready to have back up for when it is in the shop.

Backup for when it goes in the shop? They give owners a loaner. Yes they had issues with some bed covers (mine has been flawless), but they have a redesigned version which works incredibly well which has been installed on almost all vehicles which had issues. Rivian has the highest customer satisfaction of any brand. Stop making things up and fantasizing about conversations in order to justify your envy of these insanely well designed vehicles. It's the best vehicle I've ever owned and wouldn't trade it for anything else.
If a ABSOLUTELY, REALLY had to buy an EV truck I would NOT buy that ugly ass cybertruck. Rivian is miles ahead of tesla.
I prefer the Cybertruck. The tech is more intuitive and it is just nothing else on the road like it.
