I received my Sho Dan from Sensei Richardson in 1985. He told so many amazing stories of you and after watching you, he did not embellish. Just wow, thank you for your service and what you have done for Isshinryu Karate Do.
What an amazing inspiration to everyone involved or not involved within martial arts👏🏻👏🏻...His friendly acknowledgement at the end speaks about his obvious good character. It's masters like him that keep the art alive... Again 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 A new fan, Irish viewer 🇮🇪
They say never meet your heroes, they will disappoint you. They never met Sensei Arsenio Advencula. Always walk away learning from this Marine. Semper Fidelis
This just resurfaced on my RUclips and was a shot of inspiration. What a treat it was to have been there when Sensei did all the empty hand katas. Thank you for teaching us.
It'd be good if he would show head control for grappling takedowns as seen in jiu jitsu. He's about one of the last of the originals. Which why did he fall under Kichiro when others adopted leadership apparently under Tatsuo Shimabuku, maybe like step sons? Does anyone know of Kichiro training? Just curious, his dad could have trained him at home, but I never heard anything of his training. Again, just curious.
It'd be good if A.J. Advincula would break everything down like the fellow in this clip, ruclips.net/video/MRCXL3doT6o/видео.html, Soke Inoue Yoshimi. Where a person can watch kata all day long and never pick up on the tricks or nuances that make karate karate. It can look the same, but is ineffective. Knowing the details makes karate karate.
This man is dangerously explosive to the point it is almost scary. He is so precise ,and deliberate in his technique..Awesome skill to behold .
Incredible!!! The flawless techniques and the power !!! He did everything to perfection!!!!!

Good job Sir.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍
From Richard Ruberto. Non stop kata at his age shows he's in very good physical condition. Great job.
He's been doing this since the sixties and survived the Vietnam war! What an inspiration!
I am 72 and have been practicing Isshin-ryu for 50 years. He has impressive focus and stamina for his age. It is not easy to do at our age.
That was great to watch as a new sho dan. Very inspiring. I can only hope to be that mobile and strong at his age!
What is the kata performed after Sanchin?
- student of Master Robert Edwards Jr.
I was a student of Don Bohan back in the middle and late 80’s near Camo Lejeune. Great to see Sensei Advincula still teaching.
Thank you Professor Advincula.
You are very welcome
Was a true pleasure to watch, thank you for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it

your right.. not many have heard much of his training.
2 people watch UFC pay per views at wild wings and think they're experts in fighting.
Sensei, why did you stop uploading?
No. Just taking a break ;-)
