You’re so awesome. I love when you connect with your little Italian flames and make their faces light up. You are so generous with your emotional availability and so genuine. …and I also love your fight. Your drive to work and work until you get it and fighting your fears. Not being afraid to fail. You are a great role model for young people and really people of all ages. Keep being you!
That vault is called a layout squat. It is an old school vault I used to do. Back in the 70’s the springboard was required to be very far from the horse because the “preflight” was just as important as the after flight. A Yamashita was basically a handspring with a pike before landing.
I remember those days, when the challenge was pushing the springboard as far as possible away from the apparatus. I was almost a kid, and now I'm in my fifties :-(
I believe that any gymnast’s body has necessary capacity and training level to do the parkour, just need someone to show proper technique and steps to build into it. However, I strongly doubt that a professional parkour athlete without any background in gymnastics could become a gymnast. Just my opinion.
You can’t win every challenge but you always give them everything.
And it’s always fun ❤
