I think you should change your categories to something like this: trophy contenders, outside chance at contending, mid AF, on the right track or maybe potential, and just fast forward to 2025. Over half of the teams in MLS makes the playoffs, so the first two categories don't make a lot of sense to me.
You failed to talk about how Galaxy struggled to score one goal against an RSL team that had all there CBs out and Eneli RSL’s star CDM and potential all star was out as well. I don’t think it was a convincing win for only missing Puig. That game showed how bad they depend on Puig.
Struggle or not, they took all 3 points on the road against the 2nd best team in the West without their best DP. "Only missing Puig" is like saying RSL were "only missing Chicho" for 70 minutes. They're both high impact players and the Galaxy were able to notch a big road win without theirs.
@@golztv it wasn’t just chicho they were missing. They were missing 3 guys that are in the top 5 in all star voting this year for defense. Eneli, Glad, and Vera. They had an aging left back Oviado at CB, and a homegrown right back as the other CB. My point is with RSL missing 4 main starters and Galaxy only missing Puig isn’t a convincing win.
@@brezzyt2426 Convincing or not, a win against a top team on the road is still a win. Road victories are hard enough to come by in this league. Doing so without Puig deserves more credit than some fans are willing to give. And that's okay. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
@@golztv agreed a win is a win and they beat the former first place RSL. My point is not over hyping a game that never had the hype. On paper that game was a 1 seed vs a 3 seed team but one team had more key pieces missing than the other and there is no mentioned of that. Sounds like there was and extra effort to hype up Galaxy.
@@brezzyt2426 If you define a brief 10 second mention of the win over RSL as "over hyping", that says more about you than us. We talked about it briefly and then went on to discuss how impressive Galaxy have been without Puig in general. RSL may have had a few key pieces missing but injuries are part of the game and every team has to deal with them. Some of your points are valid for sure, but let's not act like we were calling Galaxy the best team in MLS.
Lafc undefeated in the last 8 games, lost 1 in 15 games including US Open cup. Let’s do some research guys. I agree they should be 3rd on that top line.
Feel like you're fishing here. We had nothing negative to say about LAFC. I think we barely mentioned them because of how clinical they've been lately. Respectfully disagree with whatever hate you think we were throwing LAFC's way.
@@golztv never said anything about hate. All I’m saying is stats mentioned are erroneous. All I said. I agreed to the rest. The stats mentioned point to Galaxy even as an attempt to interchangeably switch them with LAFC (I get it might sound like rivalry hate but it’s not). LAFC have been dominant in every game. Flukes at the start of the season with RSL and Colorado have them below Miami and Cincinnati. I enjoy watching “power rankings” from everyone bc everyone has different opinions on them (power rankings) unless you’re super biased like that galaxy guy on X. Other than that I’m good with this. And you guys forget, LAFC have like a 18-20 man roster compared to the rest of the league with LAFC 2 players on said roster, so shouldn’t they be more impressive? Just some food for thought to open up a deeper conversation.
@@juanurquieta1480 Fair enough, but we didn't even throw any stats out there regarding LAFC. We made a loose comparison to other teams who experienced some of the similar hiccups and the slow start they saw earlier in the season. That's it. Calling it "erroneous" because you didn't like the way we expressed our opinion about a team we slotted into the 3rd overall spot is wild. But to each their own.
@@golztv I called it erroneous bc of the idea that Galaxy can be ahead somehow? For example in my opinion, Cinci are 1, they play better than Miami and are more consistent. But I get it star power can bend opinions and Messi can bend opinions and also bend goals into the net. In the end, these videos are to share opinions as you said right? So question, is this a power ranking based on performance or based on opinions? More so opinions of the 4 people on the show? Just curious.
@@juanurquieta1480 Okay first off, both LA teams are tied on the table in points (and I know LAFC have a game in hand). Based off that alone, not crazy to consider those teams interchangeable. On top of that, Galaxy have been notching wins without their most important DP, Puig. Which is another layer of what makes their recent form impressive. Cincy may be 1 for you, but their lack of attacking power makes them 2 for us. Miami are still winning games without Messi, Suarez and maybe 6-7 other players due to injury and international duty. Meanwhile Cincy can't beat the Revs at home. I know they're missing Miazga and a few others, but that all impacts how they're viewed when ranked against other top teams. They’ve gotten more consistent with results over the the last month or so, but still missing a signature win against a top side. Can see them moving up in next month’s rankings though.
No panic, just being realistic about where the team is today. Still levels above where the team was this team was last season. July will be a big month for sure

I think Houston is going to take off in the second half with Ponce coming in. That roster looks good--outside of CF.
Valid point. We can look at potentially adding a tier for the next set of rankings we get closer to playoffs.
