My friend whom I met on a forum, Fek0 from Zagreb Croatia has handmade and sent me this soap with a snickers scent!!! Crazy stuff!!!
We were friends from much earlier so this is not from a sponsorship or anything like that. We met and were chatting on a forum about our love of shaving were joking constantly with one another... we also got into discussing our soap making as well... and Fek0 wanted to share one of his creations with me and sent this to me months ago, took ages to arrive due to the current global situation. Long story... having started my youtube and I asked if it'd be okay to use it on camera and Fek0 gave me his permission.
About my friend, he specialises in creating flavours for e-liquids and co-owns a vape company in Croatia. His wife is the "scent tester" and decides on the final scent profile of his occasional hobby soaps, as they work together. He has only ever shared his soaps with friends and family and the soaps are not available to the public, which is something that I think should be changed, don't you? Let's all be his friend!
Actually post shave on video, I have been walking around for a couple of hours and still smell of snickers... I am in a permanent state of hunger and have been salivating even after having ate the snickers bar!!!! Hahaha... so funny!
No joke, it smells better than snickers, toasted nuts, dark chocolate, vanilla liquor, caramel and less sweet than the snickers bar... a more adult version to me. I wouldn't have known until I smelled a real snickers because it does smell much like a snickers but when comparing the two... I prefer the soap as it's less sweet with the darker chocolate note and vanilla liquor/cocoa mass scent.

well.....this went better then I expected! My wife watched this with me...and she was delighted by your playfulness :D I'm really glad that you liked my soap, it's a proof of concept that you can make someone hungry just by the smell of something that is not food, ahahahhahah. Yes, this soap is thirsty...and residual slickness is like you told, not perfect, if I went and made a soap with a combination of NaOH and KoH with a tallow it would have more residual slickness...but this is a NaOH soap without any animal ingredients so it was expected :) Anyway...thank you for doing a review of my soap, it was a joy to watch and I'm really happy that you liked it :D
I loved that I used your soap and the story of it! It's great stuff and to me is what is the best part of life! The connections, sincerity and sharing. It's a large part of why I created this youtube channel and put myself out there.
I am so happy that your wife liked the video... the build up and anticipation to finally opening the package after us conversing really made me excited. So many of my boxes were ticked... something new is exciting for me but then add to that the fact it's handmade, add to that it was sent especially for me, add to that it's from someone that I like and have fun with, also that I love chocolate and enjoy snickers and of course my love of shaving and sharing... Man, it's like awesome excitement for me!!!
Well your proof of concept succeeded... and the scent is long lasting and I've been salivating for a long time even after I mostly acclimatised to the scent.
Yes, we can both agree on the residual slickness and the base of the soap and why you decided to make it this way.
Thank you for allowing me to try this soap and share it with the world. My wife laughed a lot and enjoyed smelling the soap and listening to my story. We are both big kids!

@@dailyshaves7242 100% agree with you brother. Too much is made of what divides us, rather than what we can share and enjoy together. Shaving helps me relax and I enjoy the ritual of it, plus reminds me of people who are no longer with me. Watching your videos I can see you feel the same. It's great to have that connection with someone on the other side of the planet.

@@dailyshaves7242 Shame the wet shaving scene is so small over in Croatia, if he were US/Italian/French he could probably go commercial with it. Snickers scent sounds absolutely amazing
I'm sure this soap would be popular, as it's a fun thing.
Overseas the wet shaving communities are vastly different. Australia is also very detached from other cultures. But improving. So I get that it's such a niche thing in Croatia.
Maybe if this gets pursued somehow, maybe some company will ask him if they can stock it.
@@dailyshaves7242 Probably would be best for him to get it on forums, get people talking. Not sure though if he can keep up with demand, that would be a challenge for sure.
I'm actually very luck, here in Austria we have 2 high quality shaving soap/shaving cream producers in Haslinger (that one you probably have heard of) and Esbjerg.
I have no idea if Fek even has time to produce a commercial quality of soaps and if he did then post it out individually. Fek did mention that he's very busy at work at the moment.
There's no doubt that many would want this soap in their collection simply for the novelty and having others smell it. For sure that's why I'd want it. I mean many men spend thousands for watch but a snickers shaving soap, now that's fun to use, show and talk about!
Not sure which forum he could promote it as I know that B&B don't allow anything that's not vendor paying the forum. My amateur videos aren't allowed on that forum.
Austria sounds like a great place, my wife has family over there and cousins in Worlg, we video chat to them a couple of time a week. I have heard of Haslinger but not Esbjerg wonder if it's available in Worlg as they are sending us a package for my expecting wife's baby shower. Maybe I will ask them to include some...
How does it compare to Ariana & Evans Vanile de tabac or Noble Otter's Barbar? When I use them I want to eat my face. The A&E smells like cinnamon donuts.
I haven't used any of those soaps. I have used an A&E though... the hipster one, which is like a tropical scent. Over time I will work my way through more soaps and try A&E VandeTab and Noble Otter... hopefully trying them all over many years to come. And I also used a soap that smelt like hot cross buns... but this stuff is next level.
I just picked up my wife about an hour ago and she instantly mentioned that it smells like cake or something in the car. I asked her if she could describe it... and she said it's like chocolate, vanilla and caramel... and then I said come close... her reply "ah!! you used that soap thing you were talking about that you got in the mail, snickers... yeah I get that!".
Honestly the smell makes me also want to consume copious amounts of junk... how does that work? The scent is still there and is stronger to others, but I've kinda acclimatised to it, but the junk hunger remains. I think it still affects the appestat system. My first time experiencing this with a shaving soap.... the salivation is real.
Working in kitchens we stink of food and cookery but nothing like this!
Your friend should go internationally public,he will have big crowd of buyers all over the europe and russia. And you are a sweet tooth boy 🤣
I also think many people would want to use this product. It's really fun!
