  • This video covers planting bare root apple trees from unboxing to showing leaf development after trees have been planted. Bare root trees come without any soil surrounding the roots. The roots are simply moistened and wrapped up to keep them from drying out.

That is amazing! It is so great to have an awesome helper! I'll be watching your progress. We're still working on getting ready for an orchard. It takes a long time!! Cheers Lisa!

You’ll be happy you do. So much easier than vegetable gardneing 😅. They produce so much for very little work.

Good luck with the trees! If fruit do develop on the newly planted trees I'd be tempted to pick them off so the trees put their energy into developing roots, but you might be already thinking that!

That's a great idea! They didn’t develop any fruit but I was surprised to see them try

There are a lot of things at the big box stores here that won't grow in my zone. I have no idea why they carry them. Nice apples, I love honeycrisp, I don't think I've had the others. I've only found 2 kinds of apples around here that will grow, and they don't grow very well. That might be something I'll have to always purchase. 😢

You have some many cool things that grow there though! 2 varieties is more than I expected would grow there lol.
