I think we should take Will Johnson #1 overall and here's why. He's very tall over 6 foot 2 and he's just over 200 pounds. He's got great hands. He's quick. He's very physical. His ability to read the qb and jump routes is amazing, and usually when he gets a pick he returns it for six. We know he can play against high level talent, he's picked off Rome Odunze, Marvin Harrison, and others in big moments. Not to diminish what Travis Hunter does, I think Will Johnson is more of what we need right now

I would trade back to get some draft capital and draft the OL from Michigan or Texas. We have to stop going for the glamorous picks and build the team inside out. Our current OL is washed. We need OG, OT, and OC... I'd address those first.
We need corner first. That's the biggest position that needs addressed. Our secondary is poop. Good corners go so much faster than good offensive linemen
@TRHanRoach I do agree that the secondary is trash, but I would address the safety position. Cisco and Savage isn't the answer. Think about this: Last year, the college football world was introduced to how great of a player Travis Hunter is. His team went 4-8. Not because of him and his efforts. That team couldn't control the line of scrimmage on offense and defensively. Fix the OL and interior DL first and a lot of the Jaguars issues will be addressed. But yes I do get your point.

I agree that cisco and savage aren't the answer BUT our corners are worse than our safeties. Our whole secondary other than tyson cambell is literally horrendous. Controlling the LoS if good if your defense can stop the other team from possessing the ball
@TRHanRoach nope. That's your opinion. Teams like Detroit with a great pass rush can speed up a QB progression, which in term leads to a sack or an errand throw. It's hard to cover an NFL receiver downfield for 4-6 seconds. Even the great cover CB will give up big plays with no pass rush. This team has been drafting the skill position for years to no avail. It's probably due to selecting the wrong player. I'm just saying, try something new. Jim Harbaugh first round selection last year was OT Joe Alt. He's a coach who gets the big picture. But hey, we're just fans voicing our opinion. Guess we'll leave it up to the guys who make the big money to make that decision.
