It really hurts my feelings when people lie about having DID. I have it and it's really embarrassing and hard to live with. I don't have control over my life. And that people fake my condition for whatever reasons feels disrespectful.

This M seems like a person not willing to take responsibility for there actions. Unreal how people will use a mental illness for bad behavoir. The fact that yrs later they seem to have complete awarness of there actions is what highlighted to me them using disorders for bad behavoir.

Slapping people has nothing to do with mental illness, ik i can become violent when mad so I just remove myself from the situation until ive cooled off or ranted at someone not invovled about it. The only time i've let myself go was when I was feeling threatened by an ex because the only options were flight or fight.

I made up roleplay "alter ego" once who did bad things because it was the only way for me to cope with being hurt and afraid. i made her to be untouchable so I could imagine a reality where I wasn't being hurt and I made her capable so I could eventually learn to fight back just in time before things got worse. i was so small and fragile(I still kind of am) but I know if I act intimidating enough people won't approach me or hurt me if I make them afraid to do so. she helped me a lot to scare off creeps, abusers, and strangers with malicious intent.

The fact that people fake disorders p!sses me off soooo badly. I have PTSD and had a protective order against someone i went to school with. Said person didn't follow it and would set me off into a panic attack every morning. I got bullied SO BADLY because of it that it caused by PTSD to get even worse. The bullying would range from his friends pushing me into him (he was ok with it and would touch me even on his own terms) and they would report me every day to the office so I'd get called down there and lectured and told to suck up him touching me and not talk about ANY s3xual trauma at all and even after graduating people kept trying to get my house raided and me disowned. Because of the bullying that started because of my PTSD/trauma, I now have panic attacks when the phone rings, when I have to talk to an authority figure one on one, when someone raises their voice, when someone knocks on the door, when I get a text notification and more. I struggle to leave the house and it's crazy someone would WANT that
Edit after three months: I'm seeing someone who is a major help and is super heathly and I have improved a LOT

yea i understand your pain i get scared at loud noises, people raising their voice, and some other random stuff because of trauma.

?! Holy frick?! Are you serious?? I genuinely cannot imagine such genuinely evil people all of them were, from the ones who bullied you to the ones aiding in their bullying by telling you to take it and not cause thEm bother instead of doing the basic job of a human being and trying to help you. I dunno you but I'm kinda really pissed on your behalf and would have a little more than words with every last one of them if I could. I hope you always know that nOne of any of that has anything to do with you - as in, it's not your fault, you didn't dress this or that way to make anybody touch you, you didn't act in any way to make anybody do anything to you- nOthing was your fault. These are horrible people that did something to you, and you have every right to be upset and angry. In no world should you ever just 'suck it up' and those horrible authorities are as much to blame as the bullies. I hope you get the help to address all of the issues you have and get the strength in life to always stand up for yourself and to live with joy.

I, like most people hate when people fake disorders (especially DID I have done a lot of research on the topic as it interests me so when people (usually tik tokens) go 'oh yea I have 50 alters and i can choose when they come out' like no you dont??? Why would you WANT that even?? Like I get the appeal to be a different person but why would you go through the pain and stress DID causes?) again toreuttes is another cmon one, but like why??? I've recently been diagnose with toreuttes and they ain't fun, granted yes I have pretty mild tics and that I'm greatful for but even mild tics are just annoying. Also I never really knew about alter egos they sound really interesting! So now ima have to go look that up!

I’ve been a severely mentally ill teenager, so I’ve been surrounded by the kind of people who are convinced they have a different disorder every so often based on what’s trending. This is a very small minority compared to the friends I’ve made who genuinely struggle with issues and work on/want to become better people, but they do exist and I feel like they are suffering in other ways to. I can’t diagnose but it wouldn’t surprise me if there was some degree of HPD or something involved because to me there is a clear pattern.
90% of the time the ‘fake disorder’ stories I see seen really biased on behalf of the person and I get really ableist vibes, but sometimes people are genuinely just doing sh*t in a very wrong way. Whether lying intentionally or just being young and misguided, it’s never ok to fake things. Sometimes people will hurt themselves (I’ve known an ex friend who genuinely drew on sharpie SH scars… yeah seriously… I was deeply upset to hear about it as I have suffered from SH before) or play up a mental breakdown, give very skewed versions of their family life, etc. and it’s so unfortunate because I’ve known so many people who genuinely struggle but are seen as liars due to this small minority. Makes me really sad.

I wish more people in this fake DID relm would adopt alter egos. (Mind you, english is not a first language, so if the term alter ego has a different meaning, than correct me). To me, it is a stratagy. I am a very anxious person, i know the me as i am cannot live the potentials that i want in my career, thus come "Paulie". Hes named after a rockstar I abolitely love. With that, i envision myself with the positive aspects of being a rock star; people love me, I'm cool and confidant. When i clock into work, paulie comes out. This is not DID, hes not his own entity, hes just me roleplaying something untill i can actually internalize it for myself. Perhaps that is what some of what i see when i watch the younger people on Tiktok, they may be unconfident or awkward, and want to draw out a "personally" that socializes better or seems cooler.

I will never support someone dropping out in their senior year. i get it, I was bullied relentlessly every single day I was in school. undiagnosed cADHD and OCD made life really hard especially with the terrible school-environment. HOWEVER, there are many ways to graduate. you have options. high school diploma is important and it shows you can make it through hard stuff. this is my view, from someone who wishes I had taken school more seriously, but had I had therapy and seeba doctor, then maybe I could've learned to cope in real time to avoid most of my life happening lol

Woah it’s taken me this long to realize how long your hair has gotten, it grows fast! Or maybe I’m just dumb and my own hair is damaged so I don’t know how fast normal hair grows smh 😯 like it might be as long as mine after not having a haircut in over 5 years, and you haven’t been growing yours out that long I don’t think
