    The worrisome part is that wanting more trauma or faking severe disorders are actual signs that the person is dealing with trauma themselves but are not taken seriously enough...to the person who shared this story, you are valid and deserve all the love and help hun

      I know you posted your comment months ago, but if you see this, I kinda disagree as in I believe kids and teens just want attention, popularity👉so fans to boost their ego. Cause we all have pride.

      @@abysomething2012 while that is true yes, wanting trauma can indeed be a sign of trauma, it's hard to explain so I hope this makes sense:
      If you want trauma, there is a chance you have experienced it and not known, thus making this feel normal to you and without it it doesn't feel right, so you seek it.
      Again this isn't necessarily the case for everyone, but could be looked at from both sides of this and make sense

    • @mbrammy7
      @mbrammy7 4 месяца назад +4

      @@kurootetsuro3037...okay, but that's just not really how trauma works?
      In my experience, young people (especially teenagers) with severe trauma don't want more trauma, they want to pretend there is no trauma and often don't want to acknowledge how difficult and different things are for them, often retraumatising themselves in the process. If your childhood was very traumatic, you won't have anything "normal" to compare it to growing up and will often not even realise the extent of which that you have actually been abused or neglected, especially if it's not physical abuse or the physical abuse is disguised as punishment.
      I think I get what you're saying though, people who are experiencing mental distress might wish that people would notice their suffering and might feel that they are not deserving of help because they feel like they are not "sick enough" and imposter syndrome is a real thing with many mental illnesses, but someone wishing for MORE trauma or more severe trauma is just antithetical to wanting help

    • @kurootetsuro3037
      @kurootetsuro3037 4 месяца назад +5

      @@mbrammy7 I meant more, if you grow up with constant trauma you may not realise it was traumatic until removed from the situation, and could end up seeking that familiarity
      And I will come out and say that I do infact relate to what you said, but also what I said too..I seek it because it's the normal I know

    One thing everyone should remember is that the phrase "If you were faking you wouldn't be asking yourself whether you're faking" applies only to people who are faking maliciously (which, no shit Sherlock!). If you are questioning a disorder you think you have, it doesn't mean that you necessarily have that disorder particularly, but it most likely means that you have A Problem.
    Also, the obvious thing anyone would tell you is "go seek therapy" or "go to a doctor", but if you are going with a preconceived notion of what you must be sick of, a 'misdiagnosis' might not be a misdiagnosis and should 100% be taken into consideration. The problem only comes when a doctor tells you that you're fine or the medication they give you doesn't make things better.

    Glad to see a channel that gives good perspectives on fakers, not making them out to be evil but to be misguided and potentially unwell people who want to be seen. I've met a few because I am in mental health communities and it is sad, but I understand them.

    The funny thing is DissociaDID actually motivated us to search for help, the more we learned about the disorder through out therapist, the more we knew she was faking it. The switches on video, never talking about dissociation, never talking about physical discomfort. We came across your channel and found more proof to back it up, then we searched for communities that actually support people with this disorder. I'd say to everyone struggling, never trust one source, we were young and hopeless at the time, don't make the same mistakes.

    The only influence DissociaDID has, faking DID~
    10:26 "the horrors of their daily lives"
    As someone with DID (post awareness and communication treatment) I can say that the disorder is not 24/7 suffering. It absolutely is before awareness and treatment. Now after finally being able to get out of an unsafe home and going through DID treatment, I'm in the best place of my life. I'm the happiest I've been in my life. Yes, I still have DID but the disorder for me is no longer suffering daily. I used to think my DID was a curse but now in a way I'm grateful for it. I never would have known the different parts of me and how strong/capable I really am. My debilitating disorder became my superpower.

    We are an ACTUAL system. Formed from ACTUAL trauma. Watching people fake being a system is really a kick in the ass. DID is not fun and games. Large amounts of amnesia, constant dissociating. And kids think it's a roleplay discord server. It's really offensive. But seeing this person open up about faking helps us store just a bit in humanity.

    DID has become the new otherkin/fictionkin of tumblr. I was friends with people who claimed to be fictionkin with characters from shows like South Park (and I see these same type of people jump on the DID claiming train on TikTok) and it infuriates me. At least they stuck to tumblr back then, now they're everywhere. It's so dangerous and so incredibly harmful not only to those who truly have it, but to the people themselves falling into the pit because of popular figures claiming these rare conditions. I can only hope this fades out with time.

    this is a really fascinating video michelle! you know what it drives home for me? sometimes it should be okay to question things. I have seen advertised on discord these system servers - I think I nearly joined one, but when I saw they accepted minors I didn't go anywhere near it. I never have minors on my discord servers nor do I join servers where minors are allowed. But hearing how the kids of the server were brainwashed by the adults they respected and looked up to is kind of heartbreaking to me

      The tell for faking DID is the alters do not genuinely have different personalities. Not how they switch.
      Besides, I do think the last one was Darkness being co-conscious with a little. Mostly because if any alter is the original, they have to be Darkness. They are as bitter, imaginative, clever, and as in control of switching as you would expect from the one who started it all.
      The Chole seen on the channel being a fictive ✍ made by Darkness of a fantasy version of themselves. Before they started spending most of their time in the inner world.
      So, such a powerful alter fronting will naturally be much more dramatic than an ordinary one. And all of Darkness' appearances have been dramatic.
      Darkness is pretty cool. They are bitter and menacing, but have a soft side with helpful advice and a curious nature. Plus, they have a passion for the arts 🎨. They probably used a little to help them, so their naturally menacing presence wouldn't seem as intimidating.

    I don't like trigger I prefer spark like the spark that starts a fire or the spark that's lights the bomb it acknowledged that's there whole of fuel that contributed to and doesn't put everything on the trigger also therapy is about doing this in controlled setting so to not avoid it

  • @roetc

    I relate heavily to all this. I was already diagnosed with bpd and cptsd though. In the year leading up to the first lockdown, I’d had a lot of triggering stuff happen and I completely fell apart. I did believe I had osdd/did, it didn’t help that I was in denial abt my bpd. Bpd can also come with major shifts in identity and identity confusion, so that defo didn’t help. I actually looked into it and there’s a distinct group of people that are susceptible to believing they have did: they all have strong people pleasing tendencies, a rich imagination, and there was more but I’m a bit tired sorry. Either way, it felt very much like a kind of placebo effect, a self fulfilling prophecy. I eventually got myself referred to a specialist in did, and she found no evidence of osdd or did, but I did have strong depersonalisation going on, she said. I was able to let it go after that, left all the Facebook groups and unfollowed all the RUclips channels. Thanks for the video, I’m a way it’s kind of comforting to know I’m not the only one who got sucked in like that.
