My telephone won't even scan the QR-code. It just won't do it. Not with the QNAP authenticator nor the Google Authenticator. I can't be the only one, can I?
I don't want to setup MFA on my NAS but there is one feature that would be really nice. A number of web sites will now send you an email any time someone tries to login to your account. You get the usual wording like "if this was you, don't worry and you don't have to do anythng" sort of thing. Just a warning is all I would like to have. Is that possible ?
@@QNAPUK Thanks. I guess that's a good start. A failed login by a bad guy isn't nearly as dangerous as a successful login by a bad guy. It's the latter that is way up on my alert needs. Both would be preferred.
When I go to my nas via local IP adres I end up on a similar but different login site, than I use a hostname. When I ping to hostname I receive the same local IP address. So, they are exchangeable. One site has brighter background then second. And on site entered by IP - I can't login :/ Any explanation?
Could you email our RUclips email address with screenshots? I've never seen that. I want to be able to recreate the situation so I can submit it to product management.

How does passwordless login work from the iphone/ipad app qmanager? Or does it just drop back to using a password?

Not on a successful login, but you can be alerted by email with a rule in the notification centre if someone fails to login.
