7:30, there was a time where I got a buddy in a box that had a 100% chance to shoot crickets body shots that were also little horn shots, so each shot would just cause 3-5 hands to pop up and instant kill everything from bosses to regular enemies. This item is actually nutter butter.
This is basically how bullet shots worked in the NES megaman, only 3 bullets could be loaded at a time so the most efficient way to play was to melee enemies basically. Leans into the retro game stuff of Isaac.

I think the reason you can't shoot diagonally is because the tear is being constantly updated with additional tear damage and it messes up the added velocity from your movement calculation when you fire.
Cool concept, so now,what if - instead of reducing the amount of tears, the damage over all gets reduced massively, but tge tears stay in their original amount AND damage is adding up with every tear that's being shot while tear X is still in the air (vision of very small tear, followed by a medium-sized tear and a large tear that's about to hit the enemy)

I have an idea for item that is like death cerificate and magic skin if found it on a run and you use it, it will téléport you in a room with all quality 1 item and then this item has a little chance to replace a normal item but every Time you use it the next Time you use it it will be a room with all thé item of a better quality like if you use it 2 Times thé room of the second Time will have all thé quality 2 items,3 Times quality 2 items....
