  • The BeerMKR is an all in one small batch brewing system. Compared to everything else Iv seen this is an extremely well thought out homebrewing system. Fully temperature controlled fermentation is a very premium feature. The machine was able to crash my beer down to 40°F or 4.4 c relatively easily. Truthfully I’ve only made one beer so far. Having said that the beer is absolutely delicious. Keep an eye out for my full review where I talk about build quality and longevity. I’m also planning to use the newly announced manual mode to create my own recipes. And use this for extremely experimental test batches.

    Very well narrated, enjoyed the video and glad I found you. I currently use a Clawhammer Supply system to distill spirits. It comes as a BIAB system for making beer too which I have yet to do. I found this BeerMKR on the web and was contemplating buying as opposed to using my BIAB but either way I'm excited to do my first brew! Cheers

    Of all the self contained mini brewing systems, I'd say I'm actually impressed by this thing..I'm still a bit curious on how they do the bittering hops. One thing you could do is use a hop shot for bitterness and handle it that way. Thanks for sharing the video it was a good one! 👍🍻

      They use a proprietary hop pellet called 'steam hops' supposed to dissolve quicker and impart more of the bitterness! Great video Bradley! It tipped my decision to by one!

    Really great content Bradley. Really nicely filmed and voiced. I guess this is pretty expensive, it certainly seems well thought out. It doesn’t look quite as premium as the minibrew, which I covered some time back but it is of the same niche it seems.

    • @PortlyGentleman
      @PortlyGentleman  3 года назад

      It definitely has a nice modern design aesthetic, as far as materials it’s kind of liking. It doesn’t affect performance. I suppose if it was built like a Breville product it would cost twice as much. Thank you very much it definitely took me some time to put this video together🍻

      @@PortlyGentleman Greetings from the UK.Great video Brad(as usual) don’t wish to appear negative but seems a lot of work for only just over a gallon of beer and imo way too expensive,you can buy some nice stainless pots for nearly 600 bucks.Another alternative is a 10 Litre Braumeister machine,and in the US can be bought for $999 and makes twice the amount of beer,smaller footprint,and stainless steel construction, and imo will outlast that unit.How long is all that plastic going to last before a hinge or some other vital integral part snaps off?
      Just had a look on their website and $89 for a 6 x 1 gallon kits?🤔.

    Were the salt additions to the RO water based on the total water required or the water added to the malt basket? Were the salt additions determined using a pH calculator?

    No boil? You are going to have some issues with sanitation if you do not boil and without a 60 minute boil with your hop schedule this is really just a toy. Buy a Grainfather and make real beer.
