Thanks, MrsPenPal - this is a beautiful live performance.. not just Freddie's voice, but the whole band... Brian May (guitarist) wrote the song, and started out playing keyboard.. but then makes a very smooth switch to guitar... everyone is great - all singing, drumming & bass! I appreciate you reacting... and look forward to more...
@@josephinemonahan915 Of course they do, but that doesn't mean I can't highlight my favorites... I certainly know and appreciate John & Roger's talents, as well ... I didn't mean to imply "... and the rest..." lol
As someone who has listen to just about every live Queen show available, Freddie''s performance on the song is one of my favourite if all time. Sometimes Freddie could be extremely powerful when his singing style was just a little bit more restrained, as in this song
How many us have uttered those two words .. “save me”? 🫶✌️ Freddie’s vocals are laser focused even when trotting down stairs! Thank you for your reaction! DRAGON ATTACK from same concert!
We all know freddie's voice is touched by angel his range like noother rock singer ever but all the group is outstanding talents queen isthe best ever you cannot fall inlove with them keep going girl ❣️💔❤
Brian May (guitar/piano) wrote this song about Freddie. Initially Brian said he wrote it for a friend who was going through a difficult divorce but eventually admitted that he wrote it for Freddie. He never gave details, just said "I wrote it about Freddie, and I think that is all I am going to say on that."
Queen is not a person. Queen is a British rock band that was formed in 1970 and was comprised of: Freddie Mercury - Lead vocals and pianist Roger Taylor - Drummer and vocals Brian May - Lead guitar and vocals John Deacon - Bass guitar Queen is an unusual rock band. All four members had amazing musical talent and each of the four members was a successful composer. Queen is the only group in which all members of the band have songs, that they composed, inducted into the Music Hall of Fame. Each member of Queen was a strong and unique individual. They each had different musical tastes which is probably why Queen's catalog of music contains such a variety of genres. They wrote and recorded songs that are soft rock, hard rock, progressive rock, arena rock, thrash rock, glam rock, rockabilly, r&b, blues, pop, soul, funk, disco, dance music, jazz, gospel, folk, opera, show tunes, ragtime, etc. They would sometimes combine multiple genres in a single song.
The early 80s was Freddie Mercury at his best. Who could compare to Freddie Mercury the master vocalist at this point? He was on top of his game! And this concert, Montreal 81 proves it.
Brian the guitarist wrote the song about a friend's troubles, but it's said that this friend was Freddie whose relationship ended around that time. Freddie had that wonderful skill, that he was able to make you believe, that he needed somebody to save him, independently of the writer's person.
@@a.m.5541 But he also said it was about a friends divorce.. He also said he didnt like dsmn because he thought Freddie was being flippant about AIDS !? even though it was written 3 years before anyone knew about AIDS! He said when he wrote wwtlf he was effected by his fathers death!? Who died 5 years after the song! I never take his word for anything unless theres other things to back it up
@@bluebell3720 lmaooo you just hate brian and that's what it is, the guy knows about his own song 💀. His father was terminally ill, he was dealing with recurring cancer.....brian knew he was gonna pass.....why are you so pressed about who wants to live forever.....and Brian is allowed to tell the true meaning about the song HE wrote. About aids brian never said that y'all take twist his every word. Do something better with your life. This is actually hilarious, you don't want to admit the song is about Freddie because you just hate brian 💀
Brian May, the guitarist, wrote the song for a friend who had a hard breakup. Freddie of course makes it magic, with his God given voice. Freddie died exactly ten years later, on that same day. There is NO ONE like Freddie.
If you liked their balads you can go into the "Kind of Magic" album, maybe start with "Who wants to live forever", many other good songs there too. "Princes of the Universe" or "Don't lose your head"
Queen is the four of them, Freddie’s name is not Queen.😊 Brian has his guitar on his lap ready to go later in the song. This is my favorite Queen song along with Hammer to Fall. Check that one out.

Hello BFF .. Leave it to Brian for the cool smooth transitions!!
Last time I looked the 4 members in Queen had names?🙄

Yes baby, the guitar was crying😅👍✌️❤️
The band is queen but Freddie is a king ❤️

Yes Indeed ....thank You !
Thanks MrsPenPal, for a great live performance video by the Queen and Freddie Mercury. 🎸🎤
Interestingly, few people notice Brian's genius transition from piano to guitar.

WHO WANTS TO LIVE FOREVER, live at Wembley ...Freddie's voice continues to sound beautiful and IT'S A KIND OF MAGIC, same concert at Wembley
Great song! There's a video with the Freddie's pictures

Greatest Band of all Time

Freddie Mercury sure was born to sing!
Great reaction thx alot ! One of my many favorite songs by Queen!

Oh, and you have not heard Freddie’s opera voice yet. Barcelona, with Montserrat Caballe. Even if you do not listen to opera, this song will be great.

This is my favorite Queen song along with Hammer to Fall. Check that one out.
Who Wants to Live Forever, live in Budapest will amaze you. Also, 97.8% of all Queen songs are better live than studio version.
Starting a song by getting a cue next to the piano player. No clicks, just magic.
Brian wrote this Song!
you should listen to greta van fleet
Nice reaction, but please try to remember that Queen were the four band members collectively not just Freddie.
Freddie Mercury has an opera education and sang Rock Opera, the band also has a higher musical education
No se si me gusta más la cancion o la reaccion
Both :)
@@MrsPenPal thank you Blessing

Queen is the band!! Google before you watch so you don’t look ignorant
A great recommendation Ms Pen is “Karn evil 9” by Emerson,Lake, and Palmer from their 1973 lp “Brain Salad surgery”-it’s absolutely amazing,i promise!!
