Stupid question as I never owned a Switch nor do my kids…w/ the missing features in this Hori Compact, will it save the Main Switch’s device battery life?
Good question. So the Split pads get power from the switch where the joycons have their own batteries. I would assume they would the same way joycons do when attached. I have not seen a difference in handheld mode. So I wouldn't say it saves batteries but it doesn't hurt eitherm
@@XcZachX20 he’s pretty stoked. He loves Gengar and his original joy con’s have been glitching and failing on him. He says he likes the feel of it! He’s 9 btw.
Awesome! I'm 31 and was pretty stoked when I got mine. I also feel like most kids play handheld most of the time so that's perfect for younger players!
If you play alot docked and can afford the extra 20 then get the wired attachment. You get the best of both. The only down side is it only comes in black. If I had to choose one it would be the compact for the reason above. And if you use my Amazon link it helps me out. Just saying lol
So I just checked mine and I don't think they wake the switch up from the home button. It's probably because they run off power from the switch so that's why, if the switch is asleep it's not sending power.
mannn i have the black hori split pad pro and they’re ok and all but 1 the compact design has me sold and 2 Gengar is my fav ghost type but i ended up paying $85 on amazon thanks to scalpers 😂
Hori has released the pro attachment separately! stores.horiusa.com/split-pad-pro-attachment-for-nintendo-switch/
why did they unrelease it
Might be out of stock. I don't know.
Congrats on 1K I know you worked hard 😃
Thank you!
Too bad they don’t have 3ed party shells. Like the joycon a have.

I ha e the hori pro ones but really want the mimikyu compact ones
I like the compact better than the pro but everyone's going to have a different choice. I couldn't say no to the gengar design.
Got this as a Black Friday deal for my son. Less than $45 cha Ching.
Yes! I was posting about it when I saw how low it was! I'm glad people jumped on that deal. How excited was your son? Lol

If you had to choose between the Pro and the compact, which would you choose and why? thanks for your help!!
If you are using it only for handheld I would say compact. Less bulky and still feels good. Easier to use the kickstand on oled models.

Hey, for someone reason when I connect these the home button doesn’t power on my switch ? Any ideas why?
