Your channel is literally the one I've been looking for ever since I got into running. Thanks for the awesome breakdown on the main brands! However I admit that I still struggle a bit in understanding the pros and cons of stability shoes. When do I need base shoes, and when do I need stability?
Wow - I’m a huge ASICS fan because I just happened to find them one day years ago when I was starting running and they worked so I stayed with them. But over the years I tried other brands and some of them worked and some didn’t. But I feel like we are adding too many variables when we’re trying to consider so many different brands and so many different models. So I think sticking to ASICS which have always worked for me is the best idea. And your video makes choosing and trying different kinds within ASICS so easy and worth it. Thank you so much
Excellente video, Asics changed my life, after teying years ago Nimbus 19, never left Asics Nimbus series, most comfortable shoes ever. They are worth each dollar they cost.
The best description and easy understanding clips explaining ASICS running shoes 👟 until now, which matches with my perception of ASICS. I have 2 ASICS running shoes and 1 from Hoka.
Thank you, I think this video and your other videos will be amazing for people who want an easy introduction to brands’ shoe lineup! For those who don’t know what a takedown model is, it’s a shoe that has some of the key features of the flagship shoe
Amazing video which shown all currently Asics line-up vs key features and takedown of different models which ease potential buyers for their 1st or next Asics running shoes, cool illustration, sub branches of the main models and recommended model to get too. I bought Evoride 2 early this year and super satisfy with the lightness and propel sole shape even that will means sacrificing a bit of stability for me, can't wait for more Asics new launch shoes for my next pair of running shoes! kudo to your effort into making this video.
The ASICS review I've been looking for a while now 👌 and very happy to know that my gut lead me to choose the Cumulus as my go to daily trainer, so I'm on the right track 😉
Fantastic Channel and Guide. The Shoe map makes it very clear roadmap of the "next" shoe to buy and for what purpose. Very good guide and video. The only slight disagreement I have is the placement of the Gel-Kayano Lite Vs Gel-Kayano. I have both, albeit the previous versions. The Kayano Lite has a wider platform and therefore if more stable and has no truss, the typical Gel-Kayano still has a "lite truss" and I can definitely feel more support from this shoe. I would also say that the Kayano Lite feels very similar to the Nimbus Lite (I have version 2 of both) - same stable feel (because they are both wide) but different softness and responsiveness.
Hi! Just curious, do you have neutral pronation? The thing is only overpronation runners can feel the power of kayano vs kayano lite, same for kayano vs nimbus.
Excellent video. Thank you so much. I love Asics. I don't know much about the technology, but I think they are at least aesthetically superior to all other brands. And I wore several of their shoes (mostly Kayano) that were really comfortable. But it's a shame that I can't seem to find one model that fits me in this lineup. I'm a moderate overpronator. So there are a few alternatives. I found GT 1000 not good enough. It wasn't comfortable at the front. GT 2000 is a good one, but I had size issues. I was between two sizes and the large one felt too wide and too bouncy at the front, almost the opposite of GT 1000. Kayano 28 felt too narrow, not laterally, but vertically beneath the laces. I don't know how more people don't complain about it. I can't be the only one. I also tried the new Kayano 29. It has a rocker style which doesn't fit me. Kayano Lite felt different, hard to get used to. I couldn't try DS Trainer. I don't think they sell them in my country. And GT 4000 probably has too much support for me -pronation-wise. I think brands are focusing on becoming more and more specialized (faster, lighter, more cushioned), but ignoring to produce simpler shoes with adequate comfort and support elements as they did in the past. That's a shame.
Bro I have novablast 1 & 2, Kinsei blast, nimbus 23 & 24, Kayano 28. Because I run at 5.30 mint per km. For that speed novablast 2 and nimbus 24 are best. Because they are max cushioned. As u said. And kayano 28 is the best stability shoe. I agreed. Your every explanation is perfect about each shoes. Great details. And yes u are right. Now my fav shoes in these 6 is nimbus 24. Perfectly balanced and well cushioned..
A really great runners review, done properly. I like the magic series and have a few, but if you are a heavier runner you might want or need more stability and comfort.

Good morning Run FAQ and all the runners from 🇪🇸. Excellent and clear review. Here is my like. My vote goes to Asics Cúmulus 24 and Noosa tri14. A nice week for everyone. 🌧🏃♂️🌞
I am a heavy runner and a beginner. Apart from treadmill running/jogging. I do the same on the road as well. Which shoes do you recommend? We have Nike, Adidas, Asics, Brooks and Saucony stores here. Please advice on 4-5 alternatives as well. Thanks a tonne.
*What a GEM CHANNEL!* 💎 *Thanks for your suggestion ☺️, Looking forward to buy Ascis Gel Cumulus 24. Hope it suits my daily 5 Mile Road Running Purpose thoroughly. 🙂*
Subscribed! Your explaination is on point. I have Novablast 2 and Cumulus 23, but imho Cumulus 23 is better. It is soft, light, stable, durable, and also cheap. If you have a budget for 1 shoe only, just pick this one. One shoe for all, I even use it for HM race.
This channel is an Instructional Designer's dream!.. My thoughts: 1. I think Asics is lost in their own world! I used to think about Nike to be confusing... But Asics is just doing too much. 2. Also, in my view, Saucony and Hoka have the most sorted shoe lineup when it comes to running shoes. 3. Adidas is just not there. It's running shoes are far from expectation and their lifestyle shoes make more money. 4. Nike is diverse, but their line up has some solid shoes. Which stand out to be atleast in the top 3 in each segment.
I'm 85kgs.. To loose weight, I need to begin with slow (walks and) runs... But I also need a good lock down (for road and concrete jogging) and a cushion to absorb my weight impact. I've found the Nike Pegasus 38 to be just right.. When I compare the Asics series... I feel the Nova blast is a close competition. I agree with the submissions made by the channel.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! By the way, your approach to losing weight is totally on point. Keeping the intensity low and doing regular walks+runs will do the job.
@@tadejdanev5030 Nova blast 3 is out now... So make sure you compare 3 and 2 before buying. Also.. Im not saying that Asics is bad... I just think that others brands have more to offer in the same package and price. And Asics is not my first choice. For example, if I compare Nike Pegasus 38, Saucony Ride 15 with Asics base level variant... You'll see more value in the Nike and Saucony shoes. I like Gel Kayano 28 for my type.. But I find it to be heavier than my choices. Same is the case with Adidas Adios 6..... Just see where you get better value.
I recently ordered the Kayano 28s and a model called Gel-Glyde 3 MX which seems kind of like a door-to-trail shoe due to its breathable mesh and rugged outsole. The Gel-Glyde 3 has been promising on its first 10 km. But I hope the Kayano 28 will be worth the reputation.
