Nice video Jennifer. An FYI for you: The float switches don't remove water, so you don't quite have as much redundancy there as you described. The lower switch will turn on the Rule bilge pump that is just forward of it. The upper switch is almost certainly connected to a "bilge high water level" alarm that it will turn on if the water gets high enough to float it and close it's switch, that will give you an audible indication so that you know that you have a problem that needs attention. Then on the port side of the cockpit you probably have a manual pump that sucks water through that hose in the aft end of the bilge. I'm not sure about the larger white cylinder shaped think that you called the 4th one. It might be a 2nd electric bilge pump, or something completely different.
Where do you source the replacement gasket material for the windows? I have a Catalina 30 that is leaking from there as well. Love the boat, keep the videos coming!
Nice video Boats! That is one of the models I am considering myself.
All catalinas have fantastic layouts. Safe seas ❤
I too have a Catalina 86 SR so will be watching your projects and fixes with great interest! Fair winds!
Nice looking boat, let the boat projects begin :)
Wow, getting the boat with a newer engine is awesome. All those bilge pumps was a big clue something is leaking! Thanks for sharing!

What did you coat the woodwork with?
should leave your batts on all while on SP to keep them charged
Very cool! I just picked up a Hunter 30. It's amazing how similar the two vessels are. I'm guessing both designers knew each other...🤣
Just sink the whole thing! 😂 Kidding. Like your video☺️

@@heyjenniferjones thank you so much!
Engines are simular. So the education you recieved is not wasted, unless the outboard being Gasoline and the inboard is a diesel.
cooler will hold Ice for days
Very sexy, the boat too.
