As someone who is mechanically challenged, you have done an excellent job in explaining the process to greasing axles. You took the time to explain every step and show the how and why involved in each step-and which tools to use. It is people like you Kevin, who give confidence to those of us who are nervous about maintaining mechanical parts. And a big thanks for mentioning which replacement parts and grease brands are best for this camper. I look forward to more instructional videos from you. God bless you for your knowledge and patience. You are a good man.
Great informational video. You brought up important topics that I expect to serve me and my new CoolCamp well. Thanx!
Thanks for the comment glad to help.
Thanks! 💕
Thanks for watching hope it helps.
Kevin, my wife and I will be getting a runaway trailer in the future and appreciate your tips.
You will love it free to play.
When you remove the bearing seals I would like to see that video. Thanks for your tips I’m learning a lot from you. I’m picking up my trailer in 6 weeks.
Thanks for watching and the comment Mr Suave9355.
Great instructional how-to video Kevin! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you Paul.
Kevin, how do you remove covers from the hubs?
Use a screwdriver and small hammer
Nice video. It was a reminder that it's time for me to grease my axle again - haven't done it since last summer. I always take a small hydraulic jack with me when I'm on the road. It's smaller than the one you used in the video. I want to get a bigger one to keep at the house.
Happy Camping!
Several great tips. Thanks
Thanks for watching Clermont Cubby.
Great Video!!!
Thanks for the comment bro you not making videos.
Thanks for putting that up. I enjoy how
Informative your videos are.
Think you should carry a spare and small tool set on future trips. You get
Up in the mountains and there's no service
And no cell signal. You'd have to unhook and run to town and pay double.
I had some tools with me but not a lot they worked tools are a must you are right chad thanks.
More great camper maintenance tips. (are you for hire) Thanks Kevin!
Thanks for watching you need help Jay A.
Everythings ok, thanks for asking Kevin. Keep up the great tips, i have learned a lot from them.
You show jacking up your trailer but you don't show where you are placing the jack. You should show that and stress that you do not put the jack under the axle itself as you could damage it. Also I know they say not to use a pneumatic grease gun because you could blow out the seals. But I think that would only happen if you held the trigger on the grease gun until the grease started coming out of the grease cap. What I do is squeeze the trigger and can hear one pump cycle and then let go of the trigger. That way I'm not blowing to much grease in there at one time. I pull the trigger about as many times as you squeeze the handle on your grease gun. So far so good. www.etrailer.com/s.aspx?qry=Trailer+Wheels+Center+Caps. Etrailer has some nice center caps if you want to gussy up your wheels.
Its called AXLE.
The first thing to do, is take those junk Bearing Cups / Cones and throw them in the trash. Put in Timkens with a new seal, and Hi temp grade Lithium grease.................and lay off the French Fries.
