Made it! It looks really good and it's the first tutorial I complete thanks!! I would just suggest for those who recreate it, to make the waist measurement much smaller (take out 10 to 20 cm) if your waist is much smaller than hips
I just hand-sewed a skirt last week! It was leftoverfabric from sewing a Halloween circle skirt for my daughter last year in the overlapping squares style. The fabric is orange with black cats so I thought it would make a nice fall skirt for me. I like the technique you used to make the waist flat in the front. Nice detail.
My skirt is very full, and the waiatband is bunchy. After watching this video, I think I can change the design to fit closer to my body at the waist. Measure between my waist and hips, cut down the fabric to make less at the waist, and do the flat front like you did.
This is cut and ready to be sewn ..thank you ...can not want to see the result...you have such a lovely way of u tubing ...may I asked that you leave the sizing of each thing up for longer.... ie ..half the hip size plus 3cm etc as it goes to fast and I have to keep on having to re wind lol ..

Your design would slso work for Springtime in a flower print.

Hello, so I made a test skirt of this and I wonder if there's a way I could fix the weird gathering at the back? It like bubbles up
You can fix it by not sewing 2 sides at the front and let the elastic band stay as normal

If your hip is 120cm, you need to make sure the top of the skirt is 120cm + 2cm. So you can wear it on later
