This is a fantastic tutorial, just a note, when cutting out two curves for each side it's much easier to get them the same if you cut one, then use the left over fabric to lay over the other side and cut along the edge of the curve. Xx

I used a normal straight stitching. But I make the space between 2 needles to the maximum. So the seam will be the loosest and easy to create the ruffle
